I've never heard of Shirley Fabrication until I saw your reviews. You've sold me man, I've looking at custom smokers for the last year and a half. Hands down, the quality and craftsman ship of these pits, are by far, the best I've seen. I want a reverse flow smoker, and Im contacting thaws guys to build me one. Thanks for yours reviews man.....it helped me with my decision:)

beefnip This is a very informative video. Been wanting to shoot a run down on mine, but it has snowed every single weekend since I towed it back to New York. Sent a link to this video to a guy who is thinking about buying. There should be a Shirley Appreciation Forum.

Beefnip, just kiddin' bro. Great video and really informative. So great to have you go through the fine details of the welds on the insides and the reverse flow deep dive. Seriously, very nice. I want to mention and give a shout out to the Brinkman Bullet smoker at the end. My brother owned a BBQ business and told me I could 'start' on a bullet and produce great BBQ. Over the past 18 yrs, I burned one up completely , and am on my second which is also burned through from so many uses. They work great once you learn them, and are like a needy girlfriend---stop giving attention for more than 30 minutes and you pay the price. LOL.. I am ordering a new Shirley 24x50 - will always love my Brinkman 40.00 smoker. I look forward to not telling my girl how pretty she is every 30 minutes and getting smoke in my eyes.

Have you used the direct cooking method inside the Warmer? If so, did it meet your expectations? I'm in the process of ordering one and deciding on a Chargrill versus the Warmer....seems the warmer would be limited with the direct cooking but at the same time would be more functional if you added the 2nd damper for more cooking options? Thoughts??

I'm in love with your set up here! How much more did the insulated firebox run? And it this just the SF Base 24/60 with the firebox upgrade? I've fallin in Los with the quality they put in the smokers, don't seem to hear much negative feedback
