8:25 Actually that's the case of Company of Heroes 2, the game is literally balanced by the community. As far as I know some modders make the changes based on community decisions and they talk to SEGA which makes the patch go live on a new version. The game is WAY more fun now compared to when it was balanced by the company. I really wish more game developers would do that...

The issue is that each individual in a community is biased for anything and can't think objectively. Smolensk for example is th most frequently complained about T10 cruiser, but when we objectively look at it's performance.... Well, even for the top5% players, it's performance lays way in the bottom half of the T10 cruisers.... So objectively, Smolensk is, at best, a mediocre ship in terms of performance. Still, the only complains about smolensk i ever hear is that it's performance is too strong... Just looking up stats and thinking objectively tells me that those people can't think objectively... So do you really want to have a game balanced by biased people not being capable of thinking objectively...

@Flambass, in 7:22, you got a citadel hit that did 10k according to your damage counter, and that actually the damage that you did to him if you will look at hs HP meter. As you probably noticed on the Austin video that you uploaded, the HP damage posted by the server at the moment of the hit was less than your HP, basically, the Server posts are not reliable.

I think that Stalingrad thing only showed 2k because the shells hit right when she went dark. So we saw the damage from the couple first shells that landed, but not the cit shell, because the game doesn't show damage popups for undetected ships. Edit: or, actually the Stalingrad was going in and out of detection, and she seemed to be visible when the shells hit. But I think that could be because of a render delay or some other server delay. So yeah, while damage number popups can be inaccurate otherwise as well, I don't think this was just that.

@@Sharptsa yeah those are always surprising. The shells can bounce in weird ways down to the citadel from angles they normally wouldn't be able to pen. Turrets and funnels are probably the main cause of those bounces. I once citadeled a Genisenau with Lyon from straight nose in at close range, I think that was my first time experiencing that.

Brilliant Flambass, as always being speshul makes the sun shine a bit brighter. Thanks, great work as always.

I like how 7:10 is flambass realizing how incredibly overstated dutch cruisers are, theyre only heavy cruisers by guns but their armor seems to be a completely different value from what it says, and to add to it you get some mediocre health pool compared to other heavy cruisers with battleship damage model. and then for some reason it feels like airdrops are nerfed because I remember getting 20k damage easily now it barely does 10k.

6:30 Ram damage mechanics are a little more complicated than most imagine. If both ships are moving the same direction, damage is reduced, even more so if the speeds are similar.
