To keep it realistic they need to know how auto pilot works on a real boat, On basic ships the throttle, gear / reverse and neutrual are mechanical so its unlikely it would just go into neutral or something, having alerts would also need more devices added to the boat. The floating markers would they not normally be displayed on boating maps? That would be an easier option so you could plot around them. I have not played the game, not ready to spend money on a game thats far from ready and thats saying something as most of the games i play are EA lol

Agreed. We could benefit from a real and arcade mode perhaps? :-) stay tuned for more updates and keep your great ideas coming, I pass them all onto the devs! :-)

Yeah, I agree, it's coming along nicely, thanks for that. I think a fancy autopilot that avoids obstacles etc.. would be a paid upgrade on the boat along with the propeller, along with the other bells and whistles. I've only done cargo runs, but I've done the farthest cargo mission without any crashing.

And if your boat starts circling, do to the waves, wait until it lines up and turn auto pilot off and on

Hey I just did the long cargo mission and it worked fine for me, it depends on your route. Some say that the net fishing was back on, I didn't see it, and the fishfarm should have a info button so you don't have to go there to check the computer.

If you open the map and hover over a fish farm it tells you about it :-)

was thinking it was going to be a napping stream at first lol. Nice vid though. Not sure about auto pilot offline though as isn;t the game pc server side? how could the game run if you don't have it running? or is it?

Might as well just make it fast travel, maybe with 30% additional fuel comsumption.

I was thinking if the game could track time to destination and check the last time you logged in...Could be abused, but should work OK?

I'm anti FT but then I am hardcore sim fan...But there is an argument to be had?

Ships at sea is NOT on xbox yet. You got my hopes up so much. I had this on pc & wanted my controller to work SO BAD but it didn't.

It's very minimal as far as what's mapped. Left stick is throttle and steering. Docking is Y, item pickup is A when loading the small enough cargo by hand also is for general action with items and boat doors/controls etc. And I think b is the only other one mapped to unequip an item and menu exit where applicable. Also will let you operate the cranes too and that pops up when you use use it.

In my review I mentioned the lack of controller support ATM. It does work mostly, but limited functionality ATM
