I have over a decade of experience at shipping commercially worldwide so this is what I can add… You can protect them from outside impact but the issue is internal. (It’s a physics thing) If they are even somewhat hollow, the shell itself is subject to caving in from the force of being dropped or flung as some packages are, even if nothing actually touches them. 1) Stuff them as full as you can for greater internal tension. 2) Make the shells you will be shipping just a tad bit thicker. 3) Consider wrapping individually. 4) Use FRAGILE stickers on the box; it’s not a guarantee, but it will help. I’m planning on shipping some bombs to family this Xmas so this post was helpful in thinking it through and getting stuff prepared. Thx so much!

What I did was wrapped them individually in like the small foil and packaged it just like you did and it . And like you said stuffed the boxed on both sides and put it in the middle or a box that fits and it turned out great . I did the wrapped just in case it broke it would be in the foil not every where else

If you don’t ship you bombs how do you get them to people who buy them? Might I add that it would be a good idea to individually wrap each bomb so that if one breaks the contents stay in the packaging it is in and not all over the rest. Also, you didn’t take into account for the weather. If it’s hot where you are sending them, they will MELT 🥵 Which is a whole other problem 🤔 I know this because I have done this before. I find that if it’s packaged with dry ice it keeps them from melting and the dry ice evaporates as it melts. So there is a tip for your viewers on shipping anything perishable. Thank you for going through all of this to show the process, Great video 😁👍

Only two choices seem clear, 1) keep them cold, w/dry ice, etc 2) create a chocolate with a much higher melting point. If you go with ice, seal carefully to manage condensation. Raising the melting point will CHANGE the consumption experience. (I don't know the exact techniques)

I have something similar being shipped to me and its been through 4 USPS hubs and should arrive tomorrow. Hope they survive the heat of the vehicle and being tossed around the truck 😭

Couldn't you just wrap each one in a 6 by 6 sheet of colored foil but you can get from Country Kitchen sweetart? And then put them in your plastic and then wrap them with the plastic? I think they would look pretty. Maybe even putting some kind of sticker on them
