@@JMSquaredVintage my mom had been a home ec teacher and tried to teach me to sew. I did learn but hate it to this day because she was a teacher and a perfectionist so nothing I sewed was right! 😂😂. I did so love looking at the material, patterns AND notions though! 😀

New reseller in AL - probably half of the items I have sold have gone to CA.

I've never picked up any sunglasses, but I have picked up regular glasses - Nike's sold for $40; Tory Burch sold for $30; I have some Coach and Harley Davidson's left! Oklahoma here!! Ariat and Wranglers are my best sellers! Scully is another BOLO for western wear + "Rodeo" is a good key word for listings too :)

GREAT tips on the western wear - I'm making metal notes, and looking up Scully to get my head around what I'm looking for. So interesting on regular glasses! In a million year, I'd never have thought to pick up RX glasses, but I guess there's as much of a market for those as there are sunglasses...

I found dolce and Gabbana sunglasses at an high priced estate sale. The logo was printed so tiny they didn’t see it and they were in a cheap cotton case so they sold them to me for $5. I sold them on Poshmark for $125. 😊

I pick up a ton of Ariat near me. and yay for the shout out to Boot Barn! It always sells super fast for me - not for a ton of money, but it's a reliable quick sell. Double D Ranch is another big BOLO in that world that I find from time to time.

I’m in Arizona I find good western brand jeans at yard sales. There are plenty at GW but they mark them up to $20-30

You can get small boxes for free from the post office to ship sunglasses, belts, jewelry, etc.

I never seek out sunglasses. I would think it is something that you want to see how it looks on you.

I'm the same way - but there are a TON of people out there who look good in pretty much any sunglasses - or at WORST, they look just OK. I 'm not one of those people. I either look amazing or absolutely ridiculous 🤣🤣🤣

I’ve found several good sunglasses at the bins before.

I found a pair of vintage (90s) fendi sunglasses at an uptown cheapskate bag sale. Paid about$1.50 and sold for $40! I did buy a few cheap sunglasses cases on Amazon for shipping them and future ones I may find so that cut slightly into the profit. I’ve also sold quay on consignment that went for about $40

@@JMSquaredVintage yeah I was happily surprised! This particular pair retailed around $75 but Nordstrom rack seems to have them on sale for $35 right now and I sold them like 2 weeks ago-got a little lucky!

That IS lucky! But not everyone has easy access to a Nordstrom rack, so that works in your benefit there for sure!!

I've had good luck finding sunglasses at smaller, local thrift stores and garage sales. I just got some Ray Bans in like new condition for $5.

You know - that's a good thought. I feel like the accessories selection overall is better in smaller thrift stores - that might be fun to do just a day running around to all of them to see what I can dig up.

I always get the best deals at those small local stores. I don't have bin stores near me and rarely shop Goodwill. I find these stores don't mark up the prices as much and they usually support local so win-win!

Sunglasses in my area thrift stores are junk -- gas station specials, Wal-Mart $4.99, etc. And, they're usually scratched up like they were rubbed across concrete. Once in a while, I'll find an interesting clamshell case -- Coach, Tiffany, etc. They don't sell for much, but they bring eyes around.

I feel like this is mostly what I see too - but I will always, always hold out hope for that gorgeous red cat-eye pair from the 50s to be hiding in there...
