I love those horns
My first cruise was on this ship..it was so much fun
I was on the SS seabreeze in 98 or 99. Awesome ship with a great crew.
I was on board this ship year 1999 to 2000. Deck Department Electronic & Comm. Officer. Good times to remember this classic cruise ship.

Love the video Dave. What were the actual causes of their demise? Over extended? 9/11? Their product was reliable. They kept their ships immaculately, food was t terrible for a budget line. In this video, the ship looks beautiful.

9/11 was the final blow. They were already having $$ issues as ships were very expensive to operate (steam turbines, high fuel costs). I remember talking with their head of marine operations, who had worked for Cunard, who told me that even sailing full capacity for the Rembrandt, they were losing money due to the low fares passengers were paying.

@@davidpowers6920 I was trying to think if it was chicken or egg, but it was Regency that went down before 9/11, wasn’t it.? So sad though. Low fares made them attractive to many, but couldn’t fill the coffers. :-(
Was this the Olympia

@@keldrylan8097 I get it. She is the edgy rock star in twice. She likes to live on the edge. She's so cool because she has a tattoo of boobs. But living on the edge can cause her a lot of problems because that's her philosophy's that she has no problem showing the world

That black smoke looked like they were cremating bodies
11:19 Twin towers still there. Both towers and ship are no more.

Well the ship still exists, just slowing rotting away underwater
