Hange was truly one of the greats. She was able to risk it all for the sake of saving humanity from annihilation. Even in her final moments, she gave her heart in perhaps the most beautiful way. Despite how much she was restricted through her position, despite how she felt like she blames herself for many of this show’s darker moments, she was always a capable fighter and an incredible leader. To me, she was both the heart and soul of the Survey Corps. RIP Hange Zoe. May she rest in peace. ❤️‍🔥 😭

Levi never really cared about 'Dedicating your heart'. He was forced into the Survey Corps but he made the most of it. He earned respect despite being cold and somewhat cruel. Few knew the kind and honest man that he really was. Hange had always been there. The annoying but loveable thorn in his side.

Our girl went out in a literal blaze of glory and the first person to pick her up was the legend himself Moblit, the man that saved her from Bertholdt's blast wave. One of my favorite characters from the whole flipping show! R.I.P Hange Zoe, you legend!🫡

Levi is lost another comrade, again. Being humanity's strongest soldier is surely cruel man.

Holy cow... From Eren trusting his teammates and all of them dying, to everyone trusting Hange and all of them surviving.

Levi's "Shinzo wo Sasageyo" is a small moment but man it was one of my favorite scenes in this episode, plus the animation and the ost just made this scene one of the best in the series!

Also she never let go of her wings She held true to the scouts to the end

As a manga reader, this was animated beautifully! I cried harder watching the animation than I did reading it. I cant wait see see the final chapters! Mappa has done it again! RIP Hange! A true badass!

I love that they remind us right at the end how insanely good at killing titans Hange is. She went out like a total badass. I was still bawling ofc but fuck yeah Hange

I just wanna clarify something at 7:26 He said “I didn’t know the swords could cut the colossal Titan” If you recall that’s how eren beat Bertholt in season 3 After faking his titan’s fall and hardening the wall eren flew up behind Bertholt and cut his out of his colossal Winning the battle essentially

Also way back in season 1 ep 5 Eren was about to do it too if not for the steam and poof now you see me now you dont. Like swords were always their go to to fight the colossals.

@@ReneGade_1911 season 1 Eren thought he would be able to but he was just highly overconfident. When he did cut bertholt, it was because armin exhausted his steam ability, and caused his body to shrink in size. This allowed eren to be able to make a deep enough cut. These are new blades that they have.

The way Armin cried is bcs he already facing "burn alive to the death", so he really know the pain Hange facin'

That's Ange from Carlie&Ange channel. They love Moblit and was heartbroken when they figured he died.

The fact that before dying the last thing she heared from one of her comrades was the iconic "Shinzou wo Sasageyo" from a man that doesn't tell that phrase too much is...

I'm anime-only so idk if this is discussed in the manga later, but I do hope we get more insight into annie's thoughts & feelings whilst she was in the crystal, even if it was just a 2-minute scene. I'd hate it if they just glossed over her stay in the crystal & presented her struggle as mere "loneliness", when the real disturbing nature of it is how she was unable to move, see, speak, or eat. Also, I'd love it if we got a brief explanation of how it even kept her alive.

I love that this show isn't afraid to kill off its characters. It's sad and it hurts, but it makes it so much more real and makes the attachment to the characters more authentic. Unlike DBZ where they can just wish a dead character back to life.

Having read the manga after the end was spoiled for me, here on KZread of all places, I already knew this was coming, and for the first time in the series I had tears coming out of my eyes. I thought I was ready for it, but I so very much wasn't. Damn you, and thank you, Mappa, for the amazing job you did in animating this scene.
