Spoiler related: Everyone is like Armin should've died. Yeah I think it's sad that Erwin died, but I feel like it was the natural choice of the show. Everything else would've been weird. As we all know by now the author thought everything through.

I love how just about all of these reactors are silent through the last half of the speech. They're just completely enamored and engaged by his words, the same as the recruits. Such a great scene.

If captain erwin tell me to jump to my death, id do it without hesitating

Erwin solidified him self as one of the greatest anime characters after this ep, legendary speech.

One of the most epic scene to ever out on tv.

"This is the sole method is which we can rebel against this cruel world" Line hits so hard.

Still gives goosebumps to this day 😫!!!

This scene is the only scene that makes me feel as thou I’m right there with them.

I have watched this scene and heard this speech for hundreds of time until now and i still get chills all over each time . I sincerely hope for myself that I never ever get used to this scene . Also as a student of history and coming from a land which has seen massive bloodshed due to invasions , this is one of the best piece of historical realism ever portrayed in the history of visual arts . I am just thankful that it exists .

i had a lump in my throat through this entire show, and this scene especially, so captivating 10/10 show i swear man

Erwin's sacrifice was the key to activate "The God Mode Levi"

This really shows you how AOT is more realistic compared to life, when they said "there's a chance he'll be fine" or "he's going to survive", it goes to show you how much other animes give a child-like optimism in such scenes but AOT really showcase how much truth & pain there is when there's really no other option

This scene was executed so well. A fitting end for such a inspirational character.

I’m so glad I stopped watching aot for 4 years. I got to catch up and it was such a rollercoaster of emotions and I love the story

i watched this scene around 20 times but it still give me the chills

best aot episode yet nothing beats it to this day

That's what made Erwin the best leader of the serious. After his death nothing remained the same. Hange failed to fill in the shoe. Good thing Eren stood up, but if Erwin lived he'd have gone along with Eren's plan in a heartbeat!

of the dozens of times I've watched this scene, this is the only time I can think of where the eng dub was superior both in the lines delivered and emotions attached to it.

This wasn’t a suicide charge. It was the opposite of suicide. That’s the point. Instead of abdicating by his own hand he charged head on into his death. That’s what made him a hero.

Hearing "There's a chance that he'll be fine" after shedding a tear made me damn near piss myself. *Gets arm blown off* "Ah, I'm sure he'll be fine."

And Levi chosed that Hyprocrite Armin who did nothing but fell in love with a Marley girl and later lead to the destruction of Paradise.
