shinri just eats things - century egg
Ойын-сауық
- - - Description - - -
shinri just eats things from japan and tells you about his reaction to them. keep in mind that his taste buds are described (affectionately) by his friends as "old man tastes" so i guess there's your warning from where it's coming from, lol.

Puniko is not holding the knife this time! Is it Puniko's redemption arc?
You put that in some congee with a little ground pork? And man, that is just some good eatin'.

Agreed it’s tasty and one of my favorites! Definitely a try to have
your excitement towards foods you haven't tried before is so heartwarming, especially when so many content creators play up their reactions for the sake of entertainment makes me more likely to want to try something when i see someone's honest review of something!
I didn't expect Shinri to try eating century eggs! Mixing them with tofu and soy sauce might be an interesting way to try.😂

I'm happy that Shinri likes century eggs. Especially, it is made in Taiwan.

Egg
There are a few common ways to eat the century egg btw... One would be served with pickled ginger, even the sushi or beef bowl ones will do, which usually is an appitizer. Taiwanese would served with steamed tofu and a bit soy sauce, you can mix the whole thing or eat it bit by bit. While the Cantonese would love to boil the thing with some pork and flavoured congee.
0:26 Like 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' "Run home, Shinri! Run home as fast as you can!"
When did Shinri be able to cloak like the Predator.
I've never heard anyone so excited about or enjoy a century egg so much. Glad you are still enjoying "just eating things"!
My koi papa can't be this cute! You can just hear the big grin on his face as he eats more of the egg! I can't handle this level of cuteness without warning I doubt I will try it especially after Hakka compared the texture to mochi, I have texture problems too O~koi~ri! Glad you made it home safely. Rest up and give Biscuit lots of love
Concentrated egg. I didn't realize there was a soft boiled variant! Century eggs sound interesting to try. Thank you for another food tasting video!
Shinri just eats things - balut eggs. Don't google it up if you have a weak stomach
The color and texture are fascinating, definitely gonna try and get my fins on some! I love your enthusiasm for all these lil treats that you share with us. Thank you, Shinri
Thanks for the vidya! For curious koi, if you have the chance and have a dimsum place near you, they often have century egg porridge on the menu, super tasty

if i had a dimsum place near me, i would be healed
I love century egg. Either in porridge/congee with sliced pork. Or at times just eaten as is with a bit of pickled ginger and rice.
sir!!!! YOU MUST HAVE TO TRY IT!!! Congee with minced pork and century egg
Actually, these century eggs were imported from Taiwan. LOL
You should be able to find them at any Asian grocery store. I've definitely seen them at H-mart and 99 Ranch Market, but if its a tiny local Asian grocery store they might not have it.
l'm glad you like it!
I remember eating century egg when I was younger and not liking it so I never tried it again. But watching you eat it and enjoy it makes me wanna try and see if my palate has changed. Thanks for sharing your food experiences.
puniko not holding the knife just seems so wrong now lol
Puniko knows, better than to cut a century egg.
I was hesitant to try this because of how weird it looks, but seeing your reaction to the taste made me change my mind... Thanks for reviewing the century egg!
We are so glad Shinri likes it. Next time, you should try fried century eggs with spicy sauce.🤤🤤
Awww, so glad you enjoyed it! My favourite way to eat century egg is those little slices with pickled ginger!
Love century egg in some congee, or with some soysauce and sesame oil.

You can also find them in any chinese market
man you might be a great food blogger with that kind, heartwarming, sexy voice and keeping an open mind to new things... I think more people should know you, they'll find you attractive
You ever heard a man in egg heaven? Here it is!
at first i thought it was a box of strawberries
i love that there is zero hesitation, he just goes for it.
these go so well with congee!! YUM YUM YUM
e g g
I see Puniko lost knife perms. I didn't think they'd be so yummy? It sounds good. People say they stink bad? Maybe it's the concentrated egg smell which is often considered stinky :0
You were so excited about them that I also really want to try them. I even went and started searching for instructions on how to make century eggs at home, and it looks like I don't really have the means to do so where I live. I guess my next option is to look for stores specialising in asian foods around where I live. Why must your enthusiasm be so infectious!?
Try mix with minced garlic, green onion, cilantro, red pepper, sesame, soy sauce, black vinegar, and spicy sesame oil. You can also garnish with sliced cucumber and onion.
Shinri and his wonderful wood texture gloves!
I haven't had one of these in 20 years, I don't think I even remember how they tasted LOL but I remember loving it with congee as a child.
The giggle after taking the first bite and then "it's so eggy..." THAT'S SO CUTE STOOOOOP, even though I wouldn't try myself, it's interesting watching your experience with this ooo. Honestly, this has to count as a life achievement (eating a weird looking egg, THE eggiest egg). THANKS FOR SHARING!
After watching this video, I really want to try century egg! I used to be scared that it would taste sour or bitter, but after hearing Shinri’s description I think I’d enjoy it! And the texture sounds perfect
Tofu with soy paste and century eggs go hard, hopefully you do try some next time!
i want more of shinri eats ! thanks for the upload!
You can try looking for local Asian grocery stores! They usually have a decent chance of stocking it.
Good to see your reaction to you eating a century egg. Thanks for the vod, Shinri.
I do love these videos!
You sound so cheerful here
YAY!!! Glad you love century eggs!! Next time you can eat it with tofu and soy sauce, with some chopped green onion/bonito flakes! And also you can use it in the rice porridge with some pork, very yummy!!!
i recommend chopping up century eggs and stir-frying with (chopped) tofu! with some soy sauce, sesame oil, bonito flakes and green onion garnish, it's the way that i grew up eating it - if not in congee (w/ minced pork) i'm glad you enjoyed them!! i get these from asian (especially if they specialize in chinese food) stores in elysiumerica, lol
"why do people make exaggerated reactions of these exotic foods?" ITS FOR CONTENT
hooo Century egg It's a great addition/topping to many Asian dishes. Congee, steamed tofu, soup and more. My personal recommendation is the "Tri eggs spinach in broth". It's a spinach dish cooked with regular egg, salted duck egg and century egg
Century egg is an experience. There isn’t quite any other food like it. Glad you enjoy it Shinri 🧡🧡
the way my parents do it here in East Malaysia is we would cut the eggs into 4 parts and marinate them in sou sauce, lime juice and bird eye chilli. You can add some sliced yellow onions (holland?). eat it with nice warm rice or porridge. its good!
Next time eat Pork & Century Egg Porridge
Holy now I hunger for century egg too, even though I eat it moderately often. Glad you like it!
I love century egg, glad you like it!!
A century egg sounds so good right now, I've never had one but it looks delicious. Also hope you landed safely Dad, glad to see you back home with Biscuit
Eggcellent 🍳
asian grocery stores have these! try it mixed with soy sauce, sesame oil and scallions!
Magic gloves ov invisibility
Always loved century eggs, especially in congee, used to make them myself when I had pet ducks.
For a second I thought punikos arm that was disappearing cause of the green screen with a bite out of the plate
I check other people's review on H-mart. They did find century eggs. There is no H-mart in the city i live. So i order them on the app Wee.
Also, things have just been eaten.
You need a little soy sauce paste and chopped green onions.
As a person who has eaten century eggs since I was a lad and a person who likes it, I highly recommend you to try having some fresh vegetables or fruit right after you finish the century eggs. The taste would become unbelievably disgusting. You would never have that experience from other food. Must try it once in your life. Trust me, you won't die.😊😊
Century egg in congee is delicious. Since you have some extra, you should definitely try that! In the states, you can usually find these Asian supermarkets if there's one near you. People like to overreact to century eggs because of the appearance for the social media content.
It's my first time seeing century egg, it look mesmerizing(?), so unique! I wonder how they made them. The packaging somehow reminds me of gacha too XD
Puniko and the invisible man!!!
You're more brave than I am 😅
That color of the egg is high quality, if someone want to try one, please choose the one made in Taiwan!
Try it with tofu please~~ and soy sauce! Delicious🫶
Glad you love it It slaps really hard with silken tofu and osyter sauce Alternatively congee and minced meat is another way too
now I want to buy and taste some!!
Nice egg bro
You need eat with tender tofu and some thick soy sauce. This is delicious!
I think you might be referring to Robin's eggs the candy?

it is cooked and yes you can eat it straight up
century eggs are my favorite!! I love to eat them in Pad Kra-prao! It’s a thai dish that usually put pork/chicken as the meat of the dish but w/ century eggs it’s also so goood! You can search ‘Pad Ka-Prao Kai Yeaw-Ma’ to see what it looks like. Hope you get to try them one day! The spicy and savory of Pad Kra-prao mixed with the creaminess of century eggs is to die for. 🫶 glad you love them shinri~ discovering your new fav food is a great feeling! your excitement is so contagious and makes mee craving ones right now ueue
