Shining a Light on Rare Conditions: The Importance of Education

Health Education England's Genomics Education Programme is proud to announce a new programme, 'Shining a Light on Rare Conditions', created in partnership between Genetic Alliance UK and ITN Productions Industry News, ITN's bespoke production hub.
The programme, launched on Rare Disease 2022, features key industry interviews and news-style reports along with sponsored editorial profiles.
In this segment taken from the full programme, we meet Georgia - who has Silver-Russell syndrome, a rare chromosomal condition - and learn about the difference a diagnosis has made for her and her family. We also hear from GEP clinical director Kate Tatton-Brown about the benefits of faster, cheaper sequencing tests and the resources available to help healthcare professionals navigate through the ordering process.
