no worried I ain't that kind of fans, technically I know that he is not that great of a singer , but his voice color adds a lot , especially when SHINee harmonize , I dunno I believe that he compliments the other boys , while jonghyun taemin and minho all have soft singing voices , onew have a unique rich voice , kibum has got that harsh voice that can be distinct and recognized right away , plus he have a good breathing technique while singing which serves it's purpose I guess while singing live tbh I am no expert when it comes to music and singing , but I am just saying what I have observed without sounding too biased , I also sometimes don't like a line or two that he sings for the simple reason that he sometimes sound too loud live but it's probably because of the amount of musicals he's been in , and I really like his rapping , his voice suits it , I dunno if you're still following SHINee's releases but in tell me what to do , hold me , don't let me go and saviour , you can hear how much of a great rapper he is .

+XDranzer000 I love your analysis and that you updated it this year haha I have grown to like Minho's voice, I dunno why haha. But I sometimes mistake Key's parts being sung by Minho. I also agree with the metallic sound in Key's voice. I like Taemin's voice on Replay. They're making Minho sing more high notes now but I don't think he needs to and I don't like hearing him strain his voice but I do like it when he sings relaxed with not so high notes. What I do like with their group though is their harmonies whether recorded or live. Overall, my rating for SHINee vocals sans bias is: Onew > Jonghyun > Taemin = Key > Minho because Onew knows how to avoid oversinging versus Jonghyun. Minho is greatly improving though but he has to develop singing techniques to make up for what he lacks versus his groupmates. Technicalities aside, I prefer that I can hear their flaws a little so you can tell they're singing live. I can't really give any comparison to other groups since I don't really listen to KPop but SHINee is an exception because I have friends who drew me into their fandom haha but I saw a few videos with Kyuhun from SuJu singing (see Fluttering India episodes where they composed songs with JongHyun from CNBlue playing the guitar) and his voice is by far my #1 for KPop. :) Bruno Mars for overall Pop live performance. :D

As far as I know ( and thanks to this vid), Key has a widest voice range in SHINee XD

Key...Key ...Key i swear to my GOD who ever handling shinee is Key's anti-fan no1 in the world !!! the hate and the shade thrown on him from sm is unbelievable and totally questionable!!! ... his voice so unique ... so special and his control over it NOW is phenomenal he worked so hard to improve himself and the result was pure art ! in album songs and in live performances , he always has the most clear loud voice which is so impressive due to the fact the color of his voice is a vibrating which can be lost easly especially with high notes but that never happened with Key ! and of course you should put in mind most of shinee songs don't fit his voice color but he still stand out perfectly , and yeah he should have a solo years ago ! this boy will put any stage on fire and this is fact

Love his singing voice! It is so pointy & funky but it can also be so soft & sweet. And his high notes are very clear and powerful!

I love his solo album! It is full of key himself yet I didn't know he has that kind of colors inside him. All the songs are addictively amazing.

Basically it's like this: The higher the number, the higher the note. So for instance, with G3 and G4, G4 is the higher note. Now where it gets kinda complicated are the letters. They go in this order, C, D, E, F, G, A, B. C is the lower side and B is the higher side. So for instance with C5 and G5, G5 would be higher. But C6 is higher than G5 because the number is higher. It's confusing at first but if you see a piano where the keys are labeled it starts to make more sense. All my vocal range videos show the notes going from lowest to highest.

Key is that one baritone who likes to compete with the tenors lmaooo his comfort range is lower than a usual tenor’s comfort zone. If Chen can constantly sing phrases in soprano range (Tears, Drop It), then you bet a baritone with extensive range could compete with the tenors too

i think key and taemin is on the same level, im not a professional in this thing i dont have any "proof" lol im just saying it from my experience watching them singing live. taemin is improving, yes but he lacks of power in his voice unlike key. ok i admit there are songs that doesn't need that huge amount of power but when it comes to singing live you know that there's a background music right, taemin's live vocals hardly surpass the background's volume which makes his voice sounds so weak. but i dont think it as a weakness as his voice is naturally soft. and i can't say key's loud voice is a strength because its also natural. so i guess they're on the same level well idk XD

If you don't have some real knowledge about these things you shouldn't say :"key is better" or "they are all better than exo" I didn't mean to offend you, beu be sure of what you're saying
