The toyline and cartoon are definitely a sweet hidden gem. I dig the idea of space knights using holograms. This was a very unique concept.

I cant even imagine how difficult it was to edit this video and put in all those effects. Absolutely amazing job.

This was an amazing toyline, I cannot understand why it lasted only one wave. I loved the cartoon when I was a kid. Great video, very informative and inspiring. I am now more decided than ever to try this collection.

Great work as always. Just astounded by the sheer work that goes into producing your videos. Your videos have made me get that 80s bug! Onto searching for visionaries I didn’t know I needed.

I don't personally collect this figures but I had one or two in my youth days their were cool I always be more Master and Ninja Turtles,Dc,Marvel, Transformers,Star Wars ,Star Trek and anime guy. Very sad this line was cancelled the upcoming toys were awesome 😎👍👍👍 great video mike

Great retrospective! Visionaries was one of those awesome lesser known toy lines I always wanted to collect, but after spending every last penny on GIJOE, STAR WARS, MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE, TRANSFORMERS, GOBOTS, BATTLE BEASTS, M.A.S.K., DINO-RIDERS, SILVERHAWKS, SKY COMMANDERS, and SHADOW STRIKERS, there just wasn't any dough left over. But, it's never too late to revisit great "under the radar" series like Visionaries! In fact, you inspired me to pick up the complete animated series on DVD. CHEERS! :)

I am from greece and I had these toys when I was growing up... The tv show never made it to us, but the toys did!

It’s videos like this that keep these properties alive and have been the driving force for collectors to get these toys in their collections even though sadly this set isn’t possible. Love this. Brings me back to my childhood. 10 years old and had all the original toys. I knew about the unreleased toys and waited for them to be released. So sad it didnt come out to awaiting kids.

Thanks Jake! This one was an Iron Mountain sized effort but worth it in the end. What an awesome line and very happy to add just a little bit to its lore. If you love these for their Joe like construction, check out C.O.P.s 'n Crooks. They're basically the GI Joe black series everyone is wishing for. :D

Great video. I only had Leoric. But Visionaries weren't the same scale as G.I. Joe, so they couldn't interact. The cartoon & Comic were so cool. My uncle was on the Board Of Directors of the company who produced the Holograms for Visionaries & Supernaturals. True story.

Thank you for recommending the website Michael. I will definitely have a look at it. In my opinion, this is one of the greatest cartoon series ever made, but I’m glad I didn’t see those characters from season two. Looks like they were starting to try a bit too hard and over-expand , à la the dino bots. your videos are terrific though! Thank you for taking 80s cartoon analysis to the next level 🙏🏾

I actually liked Visionaries and had the first line of toys. But I wasn’t able to get any other figures after the first series. I thought it was cool to see the holograms and how each character had a distinct animal or being. Thank you for the video and content!

Always thought, even as a kid, the bad guys were so much more cooler

That Air Wing looks a lot like a Centauri Vorchan warship from Babylon 5.

Very cool I do wonder since they where so along on the design and figures did the get released in other countries? I know that some of the famed wave 2 captain power stuff did see light in France as I did see lorddreads robot soldier figures on sale from a seller on eBay from there once not his henchmen figures but the basic trooper one

It's a nice thought, but unfortunately not. Most of the rest of the world was the best part of a year behind with Visionaries compared to the US. Some of the promo art did wind up making it out though - the feature art of Ramak fighting Draculan was used on the cover of VHS released in the UK.

Is there a part 2 and 3 of this, I can't find them and was hoping to get a view of the playset and hear more info on it. I wanted it soooo bad when I was little.

Wow, if I ever get my custom Visionaries cosplay done, I'd have to beg you to come up with the poem for it. (Animal totem being a fierce crested penguin, and a Thundersnow spell for the shield/standard)

Thanks! There was a fan made Visionaries history book that was released years ago. Hard to find these days though.

It was such a good show & the animation is leaps and bounds better than the crap that is on TV now. But even as a kid I always wondered why if they r on the far away planet prismose do most of them have earth animals for their totems? Is that explained anywhere??

I think Prysmos had similar animals, just like their people were similar to humans. It's like on Star Trek when they encountered planets very similar to Earth.

Is there a part 2 and 3?

I remember these figures, I know I owned two of them (one good, one evil) but for the life of me, I can't ever find the hero I had, just the villain who's chest hologram fell off. So I guess the bad guy won, but at a great cost.

Given how far the style deviated from series 1 and how awful they looked? Im kinda glad series 2 never happened. The change to shields/Sun Imps and vehicles looked pretty good.

Where are the other 2 parts?
