@Hyashi Sugihara agreed, v feels a bit rushed all things considered. Like there should be a fifth region of Da at to explore and a whole other chapter included that was cut. Hope the inevitable rerelease fixes it

It's unfortunate some of these skills fall off hard later, I think all of Nahobino's unique skills should've had additional effects to them such as Ruinous Thunder causing daze sometimes, Divine Arrowfall causing def + atk down one stage on all enemies, etc.

Magic definitely falls off once you get to the late game, sad there's no Severe spells or multi-hit single target spells for Nahobino...

@@lowhp_comic even as they fall off in power, they are still some of the most MP efficient spells in entire game (knowing this after datamine), meaning they are good in long fights and Nahobino can have many spell slots without using them on MP recovery skills

This is the first game in the series that has given me trouble choosing skills because I want them all. Like my build is a bunch of passives to make profaned land's dark and poison even stronger, which is the kind of build I usually do with some room for support and ailments but damn, I want all of these

@@starc3968 It’s pretty common. MegaTen has this thing with dropping these true identity things and it not meaning much. There are some exceptions but it’s usually a last minute information sort of thing. Like how the SMT1 Hero and Heroine are revealed to be Adam and Eve during one of the penultimate boss fights and that’s it. Did explain Lilith’s stalking though.

If the Nahobino ever got into a future smash bros game, Wrath Tempest would definitely be his final smash.

@@randomisaac5959 Problem is that the tooltips are super misleading in this game. The damage values have been datamined already and skills like aramasa, that look good on paper, get outclassed pretty much instantly by other skills.

@@epicadventureturtle1363 How does Aramasa get outclassed easily? You'd be hard pressed to replace it until you get Wrath Tempest, considering it's basically single target Hassou Tobi. Sure, damagewise you can do better, but it has more chances for crits and it's way more mp efficient. Idk about you, but I'm more than willing to drop 5-15% damage to save on more than 50% mp while upping my chances for a press turn.

Revival Chant is my overall fav w/Murakumo being a close second (like a modified rasagen). I think the chant is the only un-skippable cutscene skill he has. My MC was basically a messiah so bringing teammates back from the dead fits perfectly👌🏾

That's pretty much what I did when I played through the game, only using his personal skills. At the end of the game I had Ruinous Thunder, Divine Arrowfall, Miracle Water (this was my primary healing move for the entire game followed by Media that I put on Jack Frost as back up) and Murakumo. The only active skill I had on him that wasn't a unique one was Tarunda.

Sakanagi was always my favorite move to use on the toughest enemies and bosses at the very end.

The first time I saw Murakumo I wanted to cry it was so beautiful!😭 Im gonna catch alot slack from SMT fans for this but I wish they just worked on the story a bit more… Wasn’t terrible but it wasnt very compelling either…

Actually in interviews with Koei, they did a poll in japan for what franchise should get the next Warriors type game, and SMT actually beat persona. But they just chose persona anyway. The fact its not even the whole persona series makes me dislike that game. I'd love it if it was every mainline smt and every mainline persona together, that would be awesome.

They were excited to make UI's like the menus you see in Persona 5. Larrue made a video about it a long while back since this was from a JP magazine. However I'm sure any SMT vs. Persona crossover is a 0% chance of happening. Atlus/Sega are desperate right now for the normie rage out of confusing the two to be reduced as much as possible. And I'm sure V's atrocious reviews only made that worse

I'm talking about how the major, big money normie publications like IGN and Polygon just complained and whined about the game not being Persona 5, with zero journalistic integrity. Might be hard for you to notice now that Dislikes got killed by youtube but the dislike ratio was extreme on IGN's review. You can look at the comments and see everyone making fun of how the reviews that do this sound silly and bad to even non fans, because of how hilariously off topic they were with Persona 5 obsession. Man I really wish that I knew Aramasa is literally at the start of the game for my physical build.... before I beat the whole game first...

I think both the Japanese and English stand side by side. On one hand, I like how deep and threatening the Japanese sounds, while I think the English matches Nahobino's appearance more. Think the only delivery I didn't like was Ruinous Thunder.

I agree and felt like this since i unlocked is first unique skill. Magic build is still ok overall but only a handfull of his skills are usable. Phy build is way better and i switched to it when i was lvl 20ish. Even in nocturne phy build is almost a must agaisnt some end game bosses. Wish they could give us a 50/50 between those 2 builds to let ppl free and enjoying some cool animation for those 2 builds.

it's more due to the fact that magic literally doesn't get any love in terms of unique skills. If u want any kind of Magic potency by the end of the game, u can only do that via Piercing Magic and they cost A LOT more compared to Murakumo, which is all mighty, can still CRIT and has increased damage on CRIT. Also really weird you only get like Thunder / Ice / Ailments but no other element... i mean i guess u got one of the best support skills in the game... but again ... not worth it considering u can nuke bosses with a good Physical build

Two years late, but it makes sense to me that, as the sort of opposite to the Demi-fiend, Aogami would get opposite skills. Demi-fiend gets Tornado and Magma Axis for his big skills, Gun-type skills for his unique physical attacks, and uses Mute, Bind and Panic for his ailments. Aogami has Ruinous Thunder and Thallasic Calamity for his big skills, Sword-type physical skills, and uses Haze, Sleep, and Poison for his ailments. Chaos Man and Law Man are opposites in every way.

@@mistahjenkins4826 Well the dark skills are related to his malevolent aspects, probably. Susanoo had some myths in which he threw a fit whenever things didn’t go his way. His Almighty and Physical skills are references to his various deeds and myths, like Murakumo being a reference a sword.

I’m currently running that kind of build on my run, though I slapped on stuff like Charge for extra damage on Aramasa and Sakanagi.

How did u keep every skill? Is there a way to keep lost fusions later?

I believe it's possible to farm for all the Aogami essences in a specific area.

This game really was a missed opportunity to bring back water, and earth skills considering how many ice spells are literally just water attacks

All I can think of Wrath Tempest is : “Zoom Zoom bitch!”

The voice acting for the moves is amazing, wish they would of given him a voice as in fucking talk! Hate mute characters

He's the most vocal of the SMT protagonists so far, he's at least saying more voice lines than Flynn did in SMT4 before he began speaking in Apocalypse

Why does Nahobino sounds like Billy from the Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy when he screamed CORRUPTION?!

Can you learn them again once you have already replaced them with another skill?

I don't think so. However, one time I did randomly get an Aogami Type-3 Essence from my navigator, so they can be re-learned in the normal way.

No. However, their corresponding Aogami Essences can be found randomly with a navigator, and have a much higher chance of spawning in the Odaiba section of the Minato Da'at.

Can you show your whole Nahobino build on screen?

turns out you literally can't fit them all on one character. the max number of skill slots you can have is eight and there's at least 10 different aogami essences with these unique skills.
