Berugon may have been an inspiration for Shimo's power set, but perhaps Anguirus was the source for her shape. Berugon is as you said from the Gamera-verse, but Anguirus is from the original Toho-verse and is more turtle like than Goji-san. He has also yet to make an official appearance in the Monarch Monsterverse. Perhaps Shimo, as you theorize, is an OC hybrid of several past kaiju.

Shimo is the ice dragon titan from How To Train Your Dragon... They look exactly the same to the point I was waiting for a Viking on an electric warbat or something to swoop in lol. There are also a few hollow earth creatures that resemble the dragons from that show with the cartoonishly exaggerated proportions.

Ok so I believe this movie is going to be bad ass... But can we all agree that the next movie will probably be the best yet? We'll have Godzilla, King Kong (he'll be crowned in this movie), Mothra, Suko, and Shimo all on the same side.. That's when they can bring in Destroyah and it be a result of the oxygen destroyer plus Ghidorah's head that fell in the ocean and Godzilla's cells (for whatever reason) .. it'll be an epic end to the MonsterVerse in case they can't make any more.. Though maybe it could do so well that we get individual Mothra, Rodan, and other individual monster movies after.

I was actually thinking about Krystalak - Shimo is like an uber version of that monster. Shimo is also the first original Monsterverse character who is a "God level' monster - and will probably rank right next to Space Godzilla, Ghidorah, Destroyah and Mecha Godzilla as Godzillas most dangerous foe. THE MUTOs, and Skull Crawlers may have served as the main antagonists of the first two monsterverse films, but they are not really equal to Godzilla or Kong in terms of Power to pose THAT much of a serious threat. I'd say Shimo ranks alongside Mecha G or Ghidorah in terms of Power levels, though Ghidorah being able to fly has the advantage of rapid transportation. But she is probably below Space Godzilla, Monster X and Destroyah.

Shimo is just a copy of the ice Dragon from how to train your dragon. They look exactly the same, I half expected to see a Viking swoop in on a warbat with electric breath lol.

My thoughts are that Shimo looks WAY more like Anguirus than she does Godzilla.

The All-Father Shimo bringing the noise!!! Before y'all try to correct me, Shimo was male for 3 years until production late 2023 or early 2024. Most fans want a male shimo for gxk. However there were various official news sources that said shimo is a female now but they also says a lot of the Godzilla X Kong leaked photos and videos were fake (making those sources somewhat unreliable due to their implementing damage control to get their legal team to clean up the internet with all the leaked movie content. As of now we just got a Chinese trailer that coincides with the latest plot leak script and it confirms that shimo is supposed to be the father of Beast / Titans which would make him male. The latest plot leak script also confirms that Godzilla fights scylla, Kong punches Godzilla and puts him in a daze, Kong runs for his life when shimo is trying to chase him down and kill him, Godzilla gets frozen and gets a power up, Godzilla& Kong vs Skar King and Shimo the all-father fight in a zero gravity hollow Earth, suko & Doug help in the end, shimo towers over Godzilla Evolved, Kong has a dentist, the one and only queen Mothra makes an appearance, Kong gets the beast glove because he gets hurt by shimo's Frost Blast etc... all of these things have been seen in the recent trailers and a coincides with the latest plot leaked script. Having said that there's more credibility to believe the latest plot leaked script.

Nah I have a kid and have thusly watched How To Train Your Dragon at least 400 times now and shimo is just the ice dragon from that. When I first saw it I instantly started looking for a Viking boy flying and electric warbat😂

Let me start a wave of understanding and there will be longevity within the monsterverse ultimately. See it's king anguirus and is a people's champ . Godzilla became bit jealous and king anguirus was deceived.yeah anguirus wear a crown as does shimo. but that's a whole nuther story all together my people's.. really!.. shimo knows what Godzilla did as well. Monsterverse is speeding up the story and has big potential to ruin this as X-Men. Sadly said 😞
