I got curado DC it's a nice reel but my favorite is Metanuim DC, my next one on the list is Tranx 300 for bigger fish 😎👍

The metanium dc is a beast! My favorite baitcast for inshore fishing.

Just got one based on your review but was super split between the dc or the 2020 Metanium

Is it good to fish saltwater

what were the haviest fish you cought with this baitcaster?

I have the SLX DC / CURADO DC / SCORPION DC / ANTARES DC / METANIUM DC. By far the METANIUM DC is the best in my opinion. This video is one that helped me pull the trigger on my METANIUM DC.

616_Overlander S there is no 2020 dc

Sold mine to buy the 2020 Shimano Calcutta 100dc from plat jp. I must admit the Calcutta is smoother and more solid than the Metaniun BTW it cast"s ultra ligt lures much better.

Bc i wouldnt want to tango with a 20lb jack, 36" snook, or a triple digit tarpon, which are all year around inshore species in florida, on a damn low profile baitcaster. I mean i guess you could, but why eat a steak with a butter knife if youve got a bad ass steak knife around? There are tools for every application.

John Shin that’s not true. Here in the Panhandle sure we have massive Jacks & once or twice a year Tarpons come through, but the majority of the time it’s Speckled Trout, Flounder, Redfish, Jacks, Mangrove Snapper, & Hybrid Bass & Stripers. I personally used to use a bait caster inshore but it messed up. I loved using it & preferred using it inshore.

John Shin sure it would be a different story in South Florida where tarpon are there year round. A good bait caster on a solid rod will stop a big snook or bull Redfish though.

Don't get me wrong, I've caught 15-20lb jacks on my baitcasters before while fishing for specks and smacks. I've even landed a kingfish from the jetties on my Daiwa Coastal TWS. Also, if you're in the panhandle area of florida, thats mainly surf, pier, and bay fishing right? I'd prefer a spinning set up for those fisheries.

John Shin yeah but don’t get me wrong we have a couple of decent marshes. Nothing like in Texas though unfortunately

DC does not mean "longer" casts. Actually it kind of hinders you from making the long bomb casts. I can outcast any low profile Shimano DC reel with a comparable class Daiwa TWS reel. NOW, that having been said, I would go to the DC reel if I were planning on fishing from the bank, or wading and plan on casting into strong winds. But then again, if I knew the winds would be howling and distance was imperative, I'd reach for a spinning setup. Jmo

John Shin that’s a lie lmfao the reel test outcasted every reel even the steez with even half price dc reel it does cast wayyyyy farther the. The tws with half the effort and half the lure weight lmfao

No it’s not lol I can cast the curado dc farther then any shimano reel I’ve ever used besides this reel and the new met mgl 2020 casts a little farther

I’ll send a video of the met dc casting the entire spool of line thats 100 spool the entire spool lol somthing about the digital control allows the most insane casting if you know how to thumb it use on lowest break setting it’s insane how far they cast I COULDENT beleive it either now they saying the new met mgl can cast farther cause of the lighter spool and full magnesium body there’s just nothing like someone next to you hearing that digital chip and casting 3 times as far as them with a flick of a wrist lol I’m torn cause I want the new mgl it’s 420 and the met is 500$ I’m getting one of the 2 tommaro everyone telling me to get the mgl but I love the sound of the dc it’s unreal

I get it man $500 for a bass reel is a lot but this isn’t your channel. Save a few dollars and get you one off eBay there $250 or so from Japan anglers. It’s really not worth $500 imo there is not any bass gear out there worth that kind of money and I have rods that cost $650 each. NRX Loomis and Megabass P5 have there full lineup almost. Fish a $150 rod all you really “need.”
