What line are you using on it? Do you still like the reel? Or prefer something else?

I have the same reel but the xg version. I use the 8.5 gear ratio for jig fishing where you need to pick up like fast. Also, try skipping with that reel! It’s amazing!! If you have the settings on 3 or 4 you won’t get backlash if you mess up the skip and the lure goes straight into the water. My favorite thing about the reel is that you don’t even have to thumb it! Anyways, sick reel dude. Just subscribed

I need advice from everybody that has the Shimano Metanium DC XG, so I bought myself a brand new Metanium DC, the only thing that is botherling me is the small Wind level Pipe where ur line floats through ( the small pipe that moves left right). That pipe is really loose for me and you can move it a lot ( I don't know if that is normal). Please advice,

Awesome! The little stickers are tabs that are meant to fit under the reel foot, to avoid scratching the rod's reel seat. I haven't had any use for them so far.

I love this reel too, could hardly use my three other Quantum's after fishing with this.

Good review kiddo keep it up I was almost counting on a clickbait vid but sure enough he landed a master angler well played :) there’s a farm pond just outside of the little town I live in and it’s loaded with monsters similar to yours biggest one I’ve caught was 9.3 that was a awesome day I think it might’ve been that same day out there but my rod back in those days was a good old fashioned ugly stick anyhow I had a fish on that snapped the bottom part of my rod after it broke the force caused me to get whipped in the face with my busted rod had a welt for a day or two....best slap to the face ever :) replaced it with another ugly stick haven’t been able to break it yet :( ....I’m gonna pick me up a metanium here in a couple weeks still undecided on whether to go DC or MGL 🤔 you might’ve just sold me on the dc

That's awesome, 9.3 is huge! Yeah, I've had both the metanium mgl and the metanium dc. I would definitely go with the dc. The mgl is great but it gets scraped and scratched very easily

I have the shimano metanium mg dc7 from 08 - 2014 , you should try it it’s so nice unfortunately mine is scratched up because I bought it pre owned for $300 by the way we should link up and fish I live around the area (Coral Springs) I’ve fished all over parkland I used to live there.

Sweet! I'd recommend a shimano zodias. They're light and reliable. Get the longest size they make and get a heavy, that will be a perfect top water set up
