shifter moves around while driving | FJ80 Land Cruiser FIXED
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
If you want to show your support: buymeacoffee.com/lndcruzin In this video I am addressing an issue with my automatic shifter moving around on my 80 Series Land Cruiser too much and causing it to Move from Drive to 3 to Neutral, there is too much play and I need to fix it.
The fix is two bushings on the transmission shifting linkage that can be purchased here:

Thank you! Tons of land cruiser channels on YT, none go into same depth of issues that many 80 series owners run into. Such great content for such a new channel!

Thank you, you make awesome videos! 🤙
Love your channel!
Very helpful and I am doing this soon.
I would replace the rubber shifter boot (toyota part # 33555-60071) as it is likely ripped by the transfer case shifter. This way you can also replace the two shifter grommets (toyota part # 90430-17177) while you have the linkage out. Great videos BTW.
Excellent video!!!!
Thanks! Saved me all the research

More to come, thanks for watching :)
Idon't even have an 80 series and i watch you videos just for fun. I bought my 70 series 3 years ago (my dad had one that was stolen 6 years ago). I bought it for a good price, and excellent shape. But i am always trying to take care of everything that isn't perfect, kinda like you do. These vehicles are so amazing, you take your time taking care of them, with simple tools, simples fixes, and it's so gratifying. Mine has 270k miles on, and it runs good as new. It's a 5 speed manual transmition, 3.0 td (1KZT). Mecanical fuel injection. Basicaly it's bulletproof and it is fucking amazing the simple way everything is built on these toyotas. Keep the videos coming, i am sure they will help many of us taking care of our beloved land cruisers.

Amazing 4x4. It's a 1994 kzj70, and in 26 years and 270k miles, it didn't give me any headaches. It's truly a simple and well built off road vehicle, and i never tried onde that gives me the driving experience this onde does. It is simply perfect
thank very good advice

This awesome thanks!
Good video. Good point about safety, securing the vehicle from rolling. As an old trucker and mechanic I will add few tips. Always put the vehicle keys in your pocket to prevent someone from driving away with the vehicle while you are under it, and second never rest your hand on the shift lever or the shift stick. I have seen many transmissions destroyed by this practice

Man you need to cover up that wiring harness above the linkage.
Do you have a video on how to remove the NSS? I have a 1993 FJZ80.
Hey champ. What's the name of those bushes. Looking forward to hearing from you..
Hi, my transmission not reverse normally... He only reverse when I accelerate to 4rpm
Where did you get the bushings and what are they called
Hi did you order the bushings from?
Where did you buy the bushing

Im not sure man do you have a video you can post up so I can see it in action?
Hello, I'm from Libya, and I use Google translator to communicate with you. My car is Land Cruiser, Jeep, 1993 model. The gearbox is automatic, and it is clean. Suddenly the car does not go forward or backward, unless you turn on heavy four-wheel drive. What is the reason for this problem in your opinion? Thank you.
The shifter knob is not a good place to rest your hand while driving you could unintentionally shift gears
Where can I order the bushings from?
