The story of Vikram Batra reminds us of the great potential of humanity. He truly embodied a deep understanding for living his life to the best of his ability. His love for his people, his country, and pursuit of justice left us in awe. His enduring love for Dimple, his bride, and her love for him, her one and only, left our hearts filled with hope for the power of true love.

And yet…as you will see…like all of India, our hearts got shattered as we watched Vikram hold on with all his might to breathe his last breath ONLY when he was assured the Indian flag flew above the mountains in VICTORY over the Pakistani militants!
Even though we are not Indian, his courage and bravery left a lasting impact on our family and will affect the way we live our lives! Thank you for sharing this film with us; a definitive tale of the unmeasurable courage and beautiful way Vikram Batra lived his life. We are truly, deeply, grateful to learn about this Indian hero and most notably this remarkable human being…Vikram Batra!!

Captain vikram batra is our hero and he will live forever within us and every human being who can sacrifice anything for his/her country. Now thanks to this movie most of the people who never knew about him now can know his great legacy.

The fact is im from the place where he was born ..still we all hear his bravery stories i see his dad in every special occasion when he is honoured thats must make him so proud..he is special guest in every schools and colleges in palampur (where vikarm batra was born) its so emotional to see this but still thanks ♥️

Indian Soldiers soo Humble and humanity that when our soldiers captured several German Soldiers in second world War they fed POWs even though they themselves don't have enough food. These not told by Indian Soldiers these incidents told by German POWs after years.
There is another war hero Yogendra yadav. He was 18 when he fought on Kargil war. He took 18 bullets. And despite taking 18 bullets to the body he survived and completed his mission and conquered tiger hill alone while all of his company had died. Do read about him. His struggle is one 9f the best. He also got "Param Veer Chakra" "The ultimate brave" medal.
Many dialogues in this movie are actual dialogues by Vikram Batra like - " Yeh Dil Maange More", Pakistani troop asking for Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit, his saying " I will return either after hoisting the tricolor or wrapped in tricolor but will return for sure" looks like his life was really the life of a great Hero we see in movies.
I was so waiting for this part … it’s just a start … here are some more suggestions ( all true story) 1. Raazi ( patriotic ) 2. Uri ( military ) 3. Dangal ( sports ) 4. Padmavat ( period/ historical) 5. Panga ( sports) 6. Article 15 ( caste system/ racism ) 7. Kesari ( historic & war ) 8. Sardar Udham ( from colonial period/ freedom fight )

@@AbdAbhiram I depicts the events of how Sardar Udham Singh, a revolutionary freedom fighter, assassinated Michael Dwyer, who was responsible for the Jalianwalabagh Massacre of 1919. It's a very sad story, with no bollywood song items....and u will cry for sure. The depictions of how brutally the Brits open fired on 1919 are terryfing to watch. If this would be an american film, it would hv been nominated for oscars 100%. It's a masterpiece.

this is just one instance. Bharat is filled with such patriotic individuals who laid down their lives smiling for the sake of safety of motherland.

Padmavat is worth watching 100 percent recommend....the film not only leaves you stunned with its gorgeous cinematography and sets but also with the story and performance of the actors are of very high order....a must watch

Vikram Batra's mom said that she was expecting one son but got blessed by two of them one for mother n another for mother land . Dimple cheema lived her whole life as Vikram's widow n said that vikram never left her .

Loved your reaction and the thoughts u guys mentioned in the discussion part, i want to know what u guys thought of the including of 3-4 songs in a movie? Did the songs help u form a stronger bond or liking to Capt. Vikram and Dimple or u felt left out(bcoz of not knowing the lyrics)? Movie i would suggest u to watch next should either be 3 idiots or Zindagi na milegi dobara(the later is specialy so close to my heart, it just gives u new way/perspective of looking towards life and i am sure u will love it!)

Thank you for your comment we can honestly say that having the subtitles while the songs were playing truly broke down any language barriers. Cinema and Music were masterfully utilized to tell this remarkable story.

Just wanted to say caste system isn't relevant anymore in india. The girl & the guy are of different religions. This was a long time back. So it was a big deal. Also, don't be surprised by the english in between. We all talk like that. And everything shown in this movie is accurate including the dialogues. Everything happened in real.

Lovely, close knit family, full of love .... congratulations mom and dad, you’re doing a great job bringing up such wonderful, intelligent kids.......It’s hard to watch movies like these, we’re essentially the same people, speaking same language, eating same foods and we’re made to do this to each other 😭 ........ The British drew an arbitrary line and divided us before they left so we can waste our energy and time fighting and killing each other forever instead of using our incredible brain power to progress into a super power.....They’re afraid of the strength of our vast spiritual and other ancient knowledge to progress and take the world outta darkness into light because that’s not profitable for them.......3 Idiots would be a great watch next because of the kids and the subject of education.
