Sherco SE 250 Factory 200+ Hour - Long Term Review

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

After riding Sherco SE250 Factory for more than 200 hours i learned much about this bike so i think i can make really honest long term review. As you may know i made move from KTM EXC250 TPI to Sherco SE250 with Carb and i was really happy about that because it removed all possible problems in future with TPI system.
Sherco has proven good quality what is really surprising to be honest i didn't expected wheel bearings to last more than 200 hours. Only what i dont like on this bike is clutch desing (basket, inner hub) i think KTM made better job on this part. I didn't had any mechanical issues on my Sherco, all problems what i had it was fixable very fast and easy.
My current jetting for 300m altitude : 38,170 n8re
Fix for Clutch: REKLUSE RMS-4813 CRF450
I think i proven Sherco is really good made because i did really everything on this bike, full wide open riding for 10minutes (erzberg rodeo prolog) then extrem races and much more. And at the end i didn't had problems, only problem on this bike for me was clutch plates but finally on 2020 models they fixed this. And if you want even more better clutch plates you can get it from recluse for honda crf450 it will fit in sheco basket without any mods because sherco and honda share same design.
I think i forgot much good things to say about this bike like perfect balanced chassis, soft engine feeling, stable suspension, light bike feel, and much more. If you have any questions please ask me in comments !

    Seriously thinking of one of these or a beta 200rr race edition, female rider, 5 foot 7, 58kg, riding regular enduro and hare and hounds races. Did you have any electrical issues or issues with the electric start? How is the bottom end of the sherco, I've had a brief ride of a 2019 Sherco factory 250 and was very impressed. How was the weight when picking the bike up in technical terrain? My last bike was a 2019 ktm 150 xc-w, I find myself wanting more torque.

  • @madMX96
    @madMX963 жыл бұрын

    Thanks for video. 200 hrs on piston is ok if you do only slow technical riding, I am just now changing piston after 118hrs on my 2018 and its about time. I raced 2.5hrs hare and hounds from 94hrs(first owner used bike for green laneing only), last race total mudder, bike was running hot(no fan on mine). Blow by on piston and slight groove in nikasil near powervalve, so getting new coating from Aptec matching perfectly new piston. My genuine Sherco piston does not have dark coating like vertex and was 135euro incl rings and pin. I mix motul800 1:60. 60hrs max on piston for me now.
