Fun fact, you can do this every time you enter the lab, and each time you return it will respawn. The last time you're there, James will show up. Talk to him a couple times and he'll mention it, and how it could be useful for, y'know, "research." You can then interact with it and you'll end up taking it back to the Normandy, where it finds a home on your desk in the captain's quarters. If you have the space hamster, on occasion, when you interact with it (the hamster), the head will shriek at it, casing it to flee back into its shelter.

You have to do it before James is there. And it’s about 20 times.

I wish I never picked it up. In the Citade DLC (spoilers) where you board your own ship to hunt your clone, you can hear it constantly screaming somewhere.

I seriously interacted with the stupid husk 3 times and it exploded.. I had a Joker “What tha shit?!” moment because it went all weird shape shifter then BOOM!🤣 I’ve played the trilogy countless times over the years, never had this happen until the remaster.
