Marty Raybon…one of the most underrated country music singers ever.
The genuine (not forced) rasp & twang in Marty's voice is unparalleled to this day.

I grew up in the countryside of southern ft worth, texas. Born in 82, the perfect time for country music. Listened to george strait, shanendoah, doug stone, clint black, mark Chesnutt, blackhawk clay walker, joe diffie.. reba, patty loveless.. and this is my fav song.
Not alot of people that can sound this amazing live. Pure talent right here

Shenandoah is absolutely my favorite country group of all time.
I grew up playing drums in the clubs. I started at 7 years old. I'm 40 years old now. I'm retired but I remember playing your music. You guys are still awesome.

Once you hear this song you can not get it out of your head. It is truly one of the great ones and unfortunately did not and does not get enough recognition or airplay. Great job guys!
I'm glad they got back together.

Well not exactly. Only Marty and Mike are the original members still in the band. Ralph passed away, Stan Thorn hasn't been in the band for years, and Jim retired.
😢 This song makes me want 2 cry really hard cause of how badly I treated my adopted mom. I'll do my best in the modern day to treat her with more respect.
All these years later, this remains Shenandoah’s finest song.
That opening riff played sounds so good here.
I really enjoyed them stopping by the diner. Always a pleasure to play with Marty and the boys. Thank yall for tuning in! Warmest Regards, "Sheriff" Jimmy Capps

Back when country was still counry lots of good memories listening to music with dad and watching cmt and nashville now with ralph emory.

One of the best country songs of all time!! Just love these boys!!
Blessed with one of those unique voices..You know what the group is immediately.
This guys are still kicking ass 27 years later! Very impressive, they got it!I’d love to see them in person. I’m 23 so I never got the opportunity to experience this music when it was a new sadly. There was a huge country music renaissance in the early 90s from what I can see. I wish we had one of those again

My wife and I met Marty Raybon at a booth at the shopping mall by the Grand Ole Opry one Saturday. It was He and his son there. He was so down to earth and took the time to talk to us. That night when he was performing we were sitting near the front and he recognized my wife sitting in the audience and pointed to her as he sang this song and smiled at her.
One of C&W's great, distinctive voices. Underrated group.
I had the privilege of hearing this song as well as many others at one of their concerts on June 23, 2018.

Glad to see the boys back together. I saw them in concert in 1990. Amazing
They need a "Love" button with the like. LOL! I love this!
I've always been a simple country man but to hear a classic that comes and speaks form. The heart it brings us true country together

I like a song like this that tells a story plus is just great to listen to!!
I swear his voice is like wine. Only gets better over time!
In all seriousness there must have been some drenched britches in the audience because good lord he still nails this absolute banger.
Doug will be missed. He brought powerful lungs and youth to this song, which is something I would never say unless I saw a great improvement on a live performance.

Sad that this can only entertain older generations. Real music, music today has lost its identity. Lets not let this music get canceled.
My favorite song of theirs.
I love the country from the 90's, later this year a concert is coming to my town with Aaron Tippin Sammy Kershaw and Colin Raye, I can't wait!
