I personally hate the bubba song
I just occurred to me that there was never a bad Shenandoah song. These guys are the best.
Two dozen roses, to me, is one of the greatest tunes ever. True 90’s masterpiece
I opened for these guys a few weeks ago. It was storming rain at an outside show and everyones cars got stuck. They took the stage after we finished and said “we are gonna be here awhile, might as well have a good time.” They played a blistering good set after that!
Man this is my childhood all over again. Kids these days will never know what country music was. Listening to their songs takes me back to a hot hay field, the dirt road I grew up on, and the river bank in the summer evening.
80s and 90s were definitely the best time in country music and in 20 years today will be known as the worst time

Does anyone know The name Jay Booker? I was told he wrote Sunday in the South. The song fits Jay’s home town. He was a song writer. The little town was around a paper mill and it’s just like the song. It has little houses that are in a row , has a little Barber Shop, a big Baptist Church, all are in the song

Justin Smith that song perfectly fits a little town near where I grew up. There is a paper mill with a neighborhood of little houses that are lined up in a row up and down each little street, there is a barbershop and a Church all just like the song. I was told the song was written by a guy that grew up there and went to Nashville. Jay Booker. Not sure if it’s true or not

Marty has a true gift from God🙌. The band was definitely blessed. I get tears when I hear these songs. Their music is inspirational and tell a story which is a true art in prime country music. ❣️♥️❤️

no doubt. i was 30 in 95 and learned to dance to the best country songs. me and wife still do at 56
Met these guys in Tulsa in the late 80's. Went to their performance at a dance hall. Went straight to Denny's right after, 20 minutes later their bus pulled up and in they came. Approached them for an autograph and they graciously signed a dollar bill for me. Super nice bunch of guys! Still have that dollar bill and will pass it down to my daughter.
Absolute living legends. 34 years old and on my ultimate bucket list of concerts
Bobby's absolutely right when he said Shenandoah reminds him of his childhood. I couldn't agree more!!!
I had tears. I was newly married and living my best life with them as the soundtrack. 90s country was the best!!
"Somewhere in the vicinity of the heart" is my favorite one they ever did and with Allison Krause!
One of the greatest country bands of all time. imho
I really "miss" country music. It was AWESOME!
Sunday in the South touches my Southen heart. Mama Knows touches my Soul. Shenandoah, Bellamy Brothers, are the 2 Southern Bands that I consider the best in Southern Music of ALL TIME
Sunday in the south was one my favorites and Marty has one the best voices in country! I met him with his Brother on the prime time country show years ago they were super nice guys!
So true! These guys set the bar in the 90’s! There will NEVER be this peak in country music EVER again! Period!!!
Bobby is a Real fan and this makes the show so much more enjoyable.... Much Respect to All
TNN should never have gone away! I miss that cable channel so much!
OMG! I love Shenandoah!! Miss their music so much!
80's and 90's country blows today's stuff in the weeds! Don't even now what to call it

Sunday in the South… is dead on for feeling the feelings a Sunday has in the south after church and having dinner
Marty's right about DFW loving Shenandoah in the late 80s. They were HUGE here back then.
These guys are great...simple as that. glad Bobby had them on.
I have followed them from day one. I love them. It's very awakening to realize how we are all getting older, and I LOVE the fact that this young man is so encouraging for them to sing.
I had no clue how many great songs they had until now. I could probably sing word for word most all of there hits.
I'm in LOVE!!! Brings back my High School Days!!! Thanks for Bringing them on. Made my Day!!!!
One of the best bands ever!!! I saw them last month and legit cried through the whole concert
I'm thankful i grew up listening to these guys live because this is real country music the 80's through the 90's

Love them! Their music sure brings back good memories.
Another "Sunday in the South" is their best song in my opinion.
Back when we had real country music, not this hiphop, pop, crap of today.
Sunday in the South, takes me back..."the song remembers when". True words
Greatest country band to ever live.😎
We had the opportunity to meet and make the video. Next to you. Next to me. with this group of guys who are very nice in person as well. We was given the opportunity to play the mechanic in the video. And met everyone who came to the shoot. By. Scene 3 productions. it was a great experience we will never forget as long as we live. God bless everyone is our prayers
Thank you so much for interviewing them. I wholeheartedly agree with you. That is definitely the music of my childhood as well. Definitely brings back some great memories. I definitely remember listening to their stuff a lot on the radio as a kid. My favorite songs by them are two dozen roses, Moon over Georgia, hey Mr., Church on Cumberland Road, and several others I’m sure that I missing.
They had some good ones back then for sure! God bless Shenandoah!
Miss 80s and 90s country. Country was great up to about 2006 and then went downhill fast after that.
moon over Georgia..these guys had a TON of AWESOME songs
They shouldve been bigger than what they were..their talent is phenomenal...❤
SHENANDOAH!!! SOOO good. Boy this takes me down memory lane. Thanks for having them on and playing their oldies. I just jammed so hard at work. :)
Sunday in the South 👍👍👍
Marty has one of the best country voices around. You don't hear em like him anymore.
Thank you so much for this! It made me smile so big.
I saw them in Maryland in 1994 and got to meet Marty. He is such a sweetheart. I still love this band so much; Sunday in The South and Janie Baker's Love Slave are my favorites.
It's great to know the band is still performing. They are so good and have the hit songs to prove it. Marty's got such a soulful voice, really touches you on their ballads.
Absolutely love Shenandoah! Thank you for the memories!!
Brought back so many found memories listening to their songs. Great interview.
I graduated in 92 we used to go to the Rodeo Country bar in Orlando I remember these guys , Awesome band 👍

Neat interview! I first saw Shenandoah perform live in the late eighties. Their equipment truck had broken down on the way to the show. They had to borrow all of the instruments from a local music store. The show was flawless!
I don't know how many cassettes I went through of these beautiful guy's. Just love them.
This band is probably the most iconic band thats always has had a special place in my heart! Just the sound of Marty's voice and the music. The impact that they have on your spirit when you hear them singing those beautiful songs , to me there has never been country music that has impacted me The way that these guys sing country music. I met Marty and his band in muscle shoals Alabama, Before they even became famous they were just starting out. I was sad when Marty left the group for so long, but I'm so thankful that they're back together singing their songs again.
Definitely one of my favorite bands. Glad you guys are back at it. Hope to see a show one day.
Man, a walk down memory lane right here.....this is all I am going to listen to this weekend. May even catch a show......Shenandoah, great interview!
"Moon Over Georgia" has always been a favorite, but so many good songs.
Love these guys, did not get enough recognition for what they did and still do people 👏!!!
Thank You for doing this! They are Incredible!
Still love listening to their music, they’re one of my all time favorite bands

Amazing concert in Billings, MT!! Love Marty and Mike!! 💕💕💕💕
Sunday in the South always hits me different
Years ago when the IBMA was still in Louisville, Ky, Bluegrassers and pickers from all over would stay at the Gult House Hotel. All through the hotel there was just music everywhere. I walked in one room and there was Marty singing and playing an impromptu concert..just him and guitar....I was spellbound.
They literally don’t know how beloved they really are.
Shenandoah play our county Fair around 93-94. at the end of the show Marty Raybon stood out there and signed to 200 autographs at least until everybody in line got their autograph or picture. I got my Troy Aikman jersey signed. Awesome guy!!!!
Saw them at Scottish Rite Cathedral in New Castle PA. back in late 80s early 90s. FABULOUS concert. A great group of down to earth country fellas.
I saw these guys at Martin guitar when I work there back in 1986. Great big bus out front of the plant with Shenandoah written right across side of it. Must have been when they were buying their first high-end guitars LOL. Great band and sound can't miss one of their songs.
I would love to see them in concert! Shenandoah was by far my favorite country band as a child. They inspired me to want to play music, and sing. I can still remember sitting in my room trying to harmonize on the radio to songs like ghost in this house, moon over georgia, i got you, two dozen roses, puttin' new roots down, she makes the coming home. This list could go on for days. 😂 this video was very nostalgic!😊
Mama knows is one of my favorite
Love these guys. They're one of those bands where you don't realize all of their songs that you know.
I used to walk down to The Western Room, in Printer's Alley, after I'd finish my gig at The Carousel Club and see Marty sing - before he had made it. Everyone knew he was going places. Very nice guy.
