I'm exactly like you -- I watch The Untamed as my first c-drama ever, fell madly in love, was single-mindedly obsessed for months, and then stumbled upon Guardian and WOW, now I'm crazy for WeiLan! And LOL, I hadn't even realized the "Wei" and the "Lan" (though they use different characters) -- LOL! It's destiny, baby~ (just like, both Zhu Yilong and Wang Yibo have three-character names with a "yi" ("one") in the middle, and their counterpart has a two-character name and also an English stage name (Sean Xiao and Johnny Bai) -- what coincidences! XD).

I heard from AvenueX's review that scene was one of the improvisations of both the main leads. Their acting are superb here and their chemistry ah!mazing:)

don't worry, am with you, i myself found the untamed is more like a "young love" with younger plot n twist, there's a feeling of push n pull, lust n ego, the very typical of young love between wangxian through the whole drama,, whilst guardian feels more like an old school courting kinda ish, the love between weilan is certain with not much of push n pull, their egos are solemn n their love is assured, a mature love that has deeper meaning n guardian perfectly conveying the romance better than the untamed ✧*。

I'm with you on this. Untamed is good but for me Guardian is on another level. Nothing ever comes close. The amount of love and care Weilan have for each other hit different and the fact that they promised to be by each other's side forever. I never felt this broken.

The one time when a song is wrong by 9,000 years...and I agree. I also thought that Hua Cheng was a poor sod for holding a candle for Xie Lian for 800 years but that is nothing compared to 10,000 years of yearning. I really hate the show for what they have done to the ending but the actors are solid gold. They really made the most out of an utterly crappy script (and really terrible co-stars and cheap FX....) The song is a bit like "Love Me Like You Do". Overused like woha but it does sort of fit (even if it cannot really capture the monumental love of Shen Wei....also I could drown in those eyes...honestly). Lovely =)

This was the first bl novel based series i've ever watched & i'm no shipper at all but WeiLan (ShenWei x YunLan) got me hooked instantly despite BL is not my cup of tea. After watching it, i really did struggled with drama withdrawal until The Untamed series came in 2019. Coincidentally both series had similarities like reincarnation & even both pair had similar names, Shen WEI x Yun LAN (Guardian) & WEI Ying x LAN Zhan (The Untamed). Both stories is really amazing even you're not a shipper or a bl fan, you'll definitely hook too. Zhu Yilong x Bai Yu's superb acting is chief kiss too. Hopefully we got to see both pairs again in another project or might be better the 4 of them. 😊

Whyyyyy they don't have happy ending like TU.. :(( =((
