Notice how in this scene he says 'it faces the television at a direct angle allowing me to immerse myself in entertainment or gameplay without being subjected to conversation' whereas later on (earlier in the series but later chronologically) he says something along the lines of '...it faces the television at an angle that is neither direct, thus discouraging conversation, nor so far wide...'. I see this as the writers' attempt to show us how meeting Leonard has changed Sheldon's attitude towards socializing and ultimately - friendship. Until Leonard (and the rest of their group) he hasn't met a true friend that he enjoys talking to.

@Uğur Komanlı Oh he's definitely on the spectrum, High Functioning Asperger's most likely :) Nothing wrong with that though, it's one of the things that makes him one of the most unique and special characters in sitcom history. Plus an IQ of 187 :)

narpan123 i don’t think so because there are some people who can actually have understanding of autism spectrum. I have son with autism spectrum. And i have learnt that v as parents have to chnage our way of dealing with him instead if changing him( what v also do but in his way and without telling him😜

@EXO - L Damn thats pretty bad. Last one I ever had moved in with only two pair of pants to his name. He washed them by dipping them in water and leaving them out in the porch area. They reeked so badly of body odor and mold. He kicked our air vents out and we lost our security deposit. Although I think you had it worse.

Notice how with the chairs he chose the left 1 because it faced the TV directly so he wouldn’t have to talk. Now. He faces at an angle where he can talk and watch TV. Soon he will sit Parallel to the TV and be Social. This is such a nice Easter Egg showing how Sheldon has grown and will grow

the way they portray Leonard and Sheldon's living situation is that Leonard just avoids everything and anything that he knows will cause upset (would be a crazy experience every time he comes across something), as he often sighs when someone brings up something he's had previous experience with... when it comes down to fairly menial things, Leonard is a borderline hero putting up with Sheldon

While I feel like they could relate to it, I also feel like they would take to arms and defend Sheldon. Like, yes he's a pain, but he's their pain, if you get what I mean. They have learned to accept who he is, and they lived with it. I could see them reacting okay to someone breaking the lease and saying he couldn't take it anymore, but not to the point where the roommate wanted Sheldon dead

Sheldon's answer in regards to the bedrooms did not address Leonard's question. Leonard did not ask whether he may see the bedrooms. He asked if the bedrooms were located in that place, therefore the answer "that depends" is erroneous, as it would mean that the bedrooms' existence is conditional, as Leonard pointed out.

Sheldon hates to lose, or to recognize any type of mistake done by himself. In this same scene he lies about his ability to drive; so I took it as him looking for a way to ignore his mistake by leading the conversation to a "warning" and focusing Leonard's attention in pleasing Sheldon instead of arguing.

Leonard moves in because he relates more to Sheldon than he does to other "normal" well-adjusted people, because of both Sheldon's personality (which is similar to Leondard's mother) as well as Sheldon's general intelligence and interests. Sheldon might be the outlier in Leonard's friend-circle, but Leonard still starts off closer to Sheldon than he does to Penny, for instance.

In reality, Sheldon is a unadjusted sociopath with a lack of any social skills and would not only be without a roommate, but would most likely be on every watch list known to mankind.

I imagine there's a set decorator in therapy because he's had to move the "out of order" tape on the elevator about 5000 times to make the stairway scenes look like they're shot on several different floors instead of just the one set.

This knowledge is not restricted to scientists but he expects all scientists to know it, ie it's not sufficient to show you're a scientist but it's necessary for you being one.

considering this is a university town in California and that I honestly don't think Sheldon has a great grasp on the value of money, this room was probably a steal. it's what would have kept me interested shortly after graduation.
