Long time track warrior and advanced driver. Absolutely loved your video. I am inbetween track cars at the moment and this video has me considering the GT500 for the very first time. I run 2:27 in my cars and can only imagine what you will achieve with more track time. Edge Addicts is a great group! I need to read your summary, but what tires/brake fluid were you running? Any track prep or alignment changes for track? Great video with all the angles, clarity, and audio. Mine never come out good. And my Harry's Lap Timer never works....ever....at any track. LOL!

Thanks! 🍻 I have been many times since this video. Not sure what tire and fluid I used then, but I know prefer 100 tread wear tires. F1 3R (fav) or AR-1. I use Hawk DTC70 front/60 rear pads and Motul RBF 700 fluid. Alignment is aggressive with -3.5 front/-2.0 rear camber. I 100% recommend a 2020+ GT500! They are track monsters!

Pretty wild barreling down those long straights! Congrats on being fastest in the group. The car really shows what a beast it is on that track.

Thanks Jeff! I had a recorded time of 2:34, but my data didn’t work when I had an open track at the end. I suspected I beat my time by a couple seconds, but I had a best lap recorded on day 2 when I was in the advanced solo group. That video will be up eventually.

Nice open flowing track, almost custom made for the GT500. You’ve been tracking a lot, have you felt the need to change your brake pads yet or are you still on your original pads? If you’ve changed the pads already, do you recall after how many track days? Just started tracking my 500 and trying to do some planning ahead.

Just changed the front pads yesterday and the rears will need a change soon. I did run a 2nd set of pads for a couple track days as well.

@@ShelbyFlyer how many total track days on the original pads and how much are the pads? Just curious because ive heard of the c8 going through pads very fast like 2-3 track sessions with as low as 3 laps each time and the pads for just the front $1200. so just curious of the 2 compared because people complain about how much it costs to track the gt500. I say you have to pay to play and the c8 may feel easier on a track but the 500 is gonna make you a better driver overall.

Thanks William! I put fresh tires on for the weekend and after 10 sessions, they are well worn. I think I can get one more intense day or a couple easy days at the track with them.

Question for you. Your Dr900x. How do you get it to record continuously without one minute increments? or are using some special program to join them together. Thanks! Looks like you where kicking some butt around the track…

The dash cam records 1 minute clips. When I use dash cam footage, I stitch the clips together with iMovie. I mostly use GoPro footage though, which records in 8 minute blocks. It’s nice that the dash cam is always running though... capturing stuff that I may not have my GoPros filming.

@@ShelbyFlyer when I first got mine It used to do 5 minute increments but since the lastest update its stuck in one minute increments now. Kinda sucks. What 360 camera are you using that looks pretty awesome? Is it actually tracking cars as you pass them?

Thanks Michael! My only recommendation is to call local dealers. Some still have filters. This is how I got my last 3.
