Such an amazing woman, a light to illuminate our path and an inspiration to me. I can understand what it means to be silent without a voice but amen when the silence is broken. So blessed and grateful

I love Middleburg, VA BECAUSE of Ms. Sheila Johnson. The Salamander Resort is absolutely STUNNING. The staff is ON POINT! It is a place that as a young Black woman, I gladly will spend on. I’ve been there twice, although I am a California-resident… and will continue to go. May Ms. Sheila’s legacy, live on for generations, even when her “final act” to go onto glory, arrives ❤️

This powerful conversation resonates deeply with me. As a survivor of abuse, I understand the journey of healing all too well. It's reassuring to know that I'm not alone in this struggle and that there is strength in sharing our stories. I'm inspired by your courage and resilience. Thank you for reminding me that healing is possible, even in the darkest of times. I am buying the book, so it can help me in the healing process. The nightmares, the shaking, the ptsd, the not being able to talk about it, the shame, the surreal state of having to go on because I have to work, I have to move on, I have no time for inner journeys, the fear, that I'm forbidden to look abused because I'll be looked down upon or hurt again, that I was alone in all of this and my children are alone in all of this, that I'm still angry with myself, the post stress that is still in me and my children, the unbelievable stress, the loneliness, the ability to slip back into trauma. ..these are not easy things. Where I live victim blaming is a common phenomenon. To this day, when I look up at the Statue of Liberty, I think of my divorce, of the gratitude I have for having managed to be free. Thank you for sharing your story! 🙏
