Hello, how are you doing today I hope you’re having a great day so far
Great song I love it. Sheila E. and Prince were too good together.
I totally never noticed Prince singing background vocals on this. I knew he wrote and produced the song, I am just now hearing his voice right alongside Sheila's. Amazing.
Sheila's talent and beauty are unquestionable... But the amazing thing about her is how precise she is in her choreography in this video! She commands her physical space. Wildly underrated as an entertainer ❤️

+1 I am mesmerized by her stage presence. I've watched her live in other videos, the same is true in live performances. Also didn't realize her dad/brother/ were the Escovdeos. Her uncle is Tito Puente, hence the killer drumming.

Sheila E is still absolutely beautiful and so talented as a percussionist.
Dang! Still love the percussion and beats of this song...80's music 4ever!
Music used to be so beautiful! 💖
"Love is forever. That's all your life. Love is heaven sent. It's GLAMOROUS!" Long live Prince Rogers Nelson. Sheila E., you're fire, girl!!!
Prince's Purple Rain concert was my first and still to this day the best concert I ever attended (I was 12). Sheila E. did her thang. Her set was fire!!!!

YOU KNOW IT! PURPLE RAIN WAS MY VERY first concert, too. ABSOLUTELY the BEST...(&Sheila E. upstaged Prince. Yeah...no doubt that HE was excellent of course. I just had never seen a woman be so fierce, so talented, so smokin' hot and so unapologetically "OWNING IT!"

Same here! It was my first concert at 12 years old, February 1985, Daly City, CA!
Sheila we will always love you ! 😍
Fun fact: The guy on the sax is really Sheila’s brother Peter Michael who is Nicole Ritchie’s biological father. The girl on guitar is Sheila’s sister Zina & the guy on keyboard in the red shirt is her brother Juan. Love the nepotism 👍🏾
SHE was my favorite of all of prince,s women!! BAD ass all on her OWN! ALSO loved LISA,WENDY, and TEENA MARIE, a protegee of RICK JAMES! GREAT ,hot, 80,s girls!! confident, talented, and still today, no female music star ,plays her own drums!
My mommy loved this jam! I loved it too. My little self following my mommy. Didn’t know what a gem it was!! Glad I still have a ear for great music! RIH mommy!!

This song came out at a time when I really needed it. I was getting over a divorce and I remember how much it lifted my spirits every time I heard it. Still does.
