He’s a fantastic shearer, they are cross breds that have no wrinkle in the skin that makes it easier plus they are not full wooled which makes it easier,but still he is a fantastic shearer. I love how the girl sweeping the board is so good at pulling the rope to start his hand piece, only a girl would be able to multitask the way she does her timing is perfect pulling the rope. Great video 100% authentic shearing shed activity.

Actually the whole shed could do with a bloody good overhaul. Look at the drag the number one shearer has. That turning the sheep can kill a man. It's a problem when shearing sheds are designed and built without consulting the very people who work in them.

actually your advice is not the correct thing to do, what they did was perfect. I've worked with rik for years, also a shearer now myself. he's almost flawless when it comes to his positioning and technique, minor hiccups occur like this in the transitions of sheep manouvering during shearing so best thing a rousey can do is turn the handpiece off if the sheep stands up, other than that let the shearer work the sheep back into position.
