Sheep Finally Sheared After 6 Years of Being Lost in the Wilderness
A sheep named Sheila has been found after being lost in the Australian wilderness for six years. It was found on the side of a road unable to move because of the amount of wool in its fleece. Sheila has now finally been sheared. Sheila’s 46 pounds of wool fell short of the Australian fleece record, held by Chris the sheep, whose fleece weighed 90.3 pounds last year.

I always wondered why they have difficulty standing afterward. Was the fleece underneath propping her up, thus negating much of the leg power needed to stand, or was she dioriented from the sudden and massive loss of weight?

And some idiots consider shearing sheep inhumane
Look how big her eyes were at the beginning! She's terrified. This girl is nervous about shearing which is probably why she got away without being shorn for so long. Totally understandable from an animal's point of view.
The past tense for shear is shorn not sheared.
Makes one wonder how hard the family looked for her.

I'm surprised it could survive 6 years alone, most sheep get depressed very quickly if not around other sheep and will eventually just die of depression.
