I used the original vid to build a chicken coop. Its been flawless. There was no way you were gonna see a comment on that vid thanking you, so at least here i have a shot at you seeing it: Thanks for making that vid.

That's awesome! So many people have actually made chicken coops out of it. It's kinda funny because I didn't expect that but hey, as long as it works! I'm glad you found it useful!

I've watched tons of videos on building a shed and yours has been the best so far, thanks so much! I'll be building one like this in the very wet North of England. Keep up the great work. I went bankrupt and lost all of my family in a very short space of time and I'm still here! Stay strong and positive mate!

I've watched your videos since last year. This summer, I'll be attacking multiple projects Including: landscaping, drainage, decks, gazebo/pergolas, fence and finally a shed. I'll build one exactly like yours but a bit bigger. I hope you're doing better Jesse. From one Canuck to another. 🤘 Edit: Very bittersweet indeed BUT thanks to you, multiple people like myself get into DIYing their home but are afraid of the cost & skill set. You've shown us that it is possible. Thank you Jessie.

Good to hear! Sounds like you have quite the summer ahead of you. I really hope I can get to even 1/4 of that myself after ankle surgery and being out for 8 weeks. That's the beauty of this shed, it's super easy to be able to adjust the size. I'm doing better now, still not 100% but much better, thank you. I'm glad I can inspire you and others, that's my ultimate goal. Take care and good luck on all your projects!

Exactly. Take SmartSide panelling for example. It is built precisely for external sheathing of sheds. It is just 1/4 inch OSB with a very thin layer of veneer on the outside that’s been primed. It doesn’t rot. So why would OSB?

My 8x8 shed is same but I added metal drip edge on door sill for water and scuffs proofing. Poly under floor sheathing. Also ran my 4x4 girders 4ft apart in the middle, where my 500+lbs ride on mover sits.

One point about painting OSB, use an oil based primer for your first coat, seals it up and doesn't swell the OSB like latex will.

Also, I'm pretty sure I drove by your "old" house about a month or so ago when I was out shopping for a new home (I won't say our city name out of respect to you); congrats on the new home purchase and I look forward to seeing content from you in the future :)

Best thing to do is 2 layers of flooring. One pressure treated "in the schmoo" and the other up and dry. I built mine like that at the my old place and it was still pristine 8 years after. Build it similar to how you'd build a house.

Thanks very much! I do plan on releasing more content more often once in the new home because I'll have a proper shop to work in. This year has been very tough personally and has taken a lot out of me mentally so that's why it's been quite from me, that and its expensive. But there is so much I want to make and show yet

Thanks, glad to hear you built this! Yeah some people have commented that they used a through bolt or 2 per hinge with lock washers and nuts through the door and frame. The lock can be whatever you have. At that point, it would be no different than trying to get into a house
