Glad Vlatko started with a much faster lineup, the team does miss Sam Mewis, she has become not just a midfielder but a major scoring machine! Hope all the rest will join the team soon! Not the best game for Ertz and Lavelle, they were off on this day, usually they are really on. Horan controlled the midfield, great job, and you cannot beat the best all around defender, Dunn, she is amazing!

@@roydio That doesn’t make no sense. Press and Megan are both wingers. You need Alex or Carli as striker(#9), thus, Ertz,Horan, Lavelle or Mewis one of them have to be benched.Also Sonnet is a bad choice for right back defender. I’ll give that position to Kelley O’Hara. My opinion midfield pick: Horan, Ertz and Sammy.

@@stephipton1577 I respectfully disagree, I think that Press has surpassed bot Morgan and Lloyd in speed and scoring currently, Alex is out of shape and Carli is getting too old for the game (it's been a while since she scored a goal). All the 4 midfielders are able to score and the 2 outside midfielders (Horan and Lavelle) can be used as wingers as they have done numerous times. Sonnett is a toss up, she has soccer smartness but not the speed of O'Hara or Dunn, but she controlled the ball and she is a soccer player. I liked the right full back that played in the Colombia game, Margaret Purce.

Interesting you say that because when the 2023 World Cup comes around. there are players you may not see 2 years from now. most definitely Lloyd, then there is Rapinoe, Becky, Krieger who are all 35 0r older than you have O'hara, Press Morgan, and Heath the younger of the veteran group that might stay thru the 23 WC. You won't be going into the 2023 WC with the team you see now especially the veteran front line of this USWNT

Morgan makes a big difference in the lineup!!

Have to disagree. She needs to score more goals, period. We are waaaay overdue in finding suitable replacements for our 3 aging forwards. They are all liable to become injured in a big tournament and besides Press, who is going to replace Rapinoe, Morgan or Heath? Are the midfielders supposed to score all the goals? I am getting wildly concerned about the offense.

Just want to state, the newbies who are getting more playing time and starting time, that's what they need to become better players. They can't get better sitting on the bench. So why not play them and start them in a tournament that doesn't hold too much weight besides the title? That's how I see it. Williams may not be the most well-rounded, but she'll get there with more playing time.

agree with late analysis regarding the weakness in the right back position -- lost count of all the turnovers from Sonnet. and Purce, while great, lacks endurance. if O'hara doesn't return, that will be a huge vulnerability for USWMNT.

That play that occurred at the 67:51 game clock time(1:19:01, youtube clock), I think Press should have passed to Morgan instead of trying to take in in herself. Morgan was open and had a direct line at the goalkeeper and goal. What do you guys think? I think it plays like this where players try to do it all on their own and end up being a wasted opportunity when passing would have been a better option

How many more time can you pass the ball to Lynn either in open field situation or in a1v1 situation before they realize that she isn’t skilled enough to be a Position 7 player

Please tell me that I am not the only one who cringes every time Williams gets the ball. She just does not play at the level of the other American players. Athletic, sure, but I can't find anything else in her style to explain why she would be playing let alone starting. I hope that, when certain players return from Europe, that Williams finds her way to the bench.

Im sure when heath comes back, shes most likely going to be taking williams role. My worry is that, IF carly retires im going to assume press will most likely be a versatile forward playing wide or a number 9.. so that leaves heath and pinoe on the wide because i dont think they should ever play centrally.. vlatko needs players who can be their sub incase of an injury or whatever and there really isnt anyone else. So he needs to invest in williams because sofia smith is too young and i honestly dont know whats happening to mal pugh. As long as williams can keep learning and have the drive to get better i dont see why he should stop trying williams.

We are now officially way behind schedule on replacements for our AGING forwards. Rapinoe can't outrun a turtle, Morgan can't score a goal, and Heath is great but getting older and needs a real backup. Press can only play 1 position at a time.

@@PaulKRedd I agree and ppl dont really think of thr future ahead which is why i was fine with krieger and harris being left out. Lets face it they'll probably already retired by the next world cup. Theres a flood of good talent in the midfield area that i wouldnt be opposed to seeing vlatko try them out as forwards. I mean, this may sound crazy but i'd like to see rose try to be a forward. Shes a fast learner. I mean tobin and pinoe were once midfielders on this team. I would be worried about england because they are all relatively the same age, with a few in their early 30s. We need to find and brew young blood while we can. Who do u wanna see try for a forward position?

A cause de cette joueuse, les bresiliennes ne se rendent pas compte du nombre de match qu'elles perdent. Et la encore, c'est la meme chanson. Les brésiliennes prennent un but peu de temps après une contre-atttaque manqué, et tout ça à cause d'une passe catastrophique de Ludmila qui finit dans les pieds d'une américaine. J'ai regardé tout les matchs du Bresil depuis la coupe du monde 2019, et elle fout en l'air presque tout les matchs à elle seule. Contre la France aussi en coupe du monde 2019, on lui doit notre victoire. Si elle n'avait pas été aussi nul, on n'aurait jamais gagné contre le Brésil.
