That machine is AWESOME!!!! Just imagine how much help that would be to Tornado & Hurricane disasters!! Mulch all the debris up instead of piles & piles of trees & then burning them when they "Finally Dry"!! That machine is a monster with good intentions for storm victims too!!! As long as the person that is running with it knows what they are doing with it!! Great for the Environment!!! God Bless & Do something to make Good Changes in someones life with your MULCHER!!!! (BEAST)

Nice Mulcher !! But, It has it's place, to me !! I mean every bit of all that, is gonna come right back pretty quick , because the stumps are still in the ground. Unless, they stay on top of it after it's all cut down, if not, it's coming back !! lolol.... But, it does work very well in clearing it all out !! for sure...

I offer the mulcher or using the rotary cutter (bush hog). Even though the mulching cost is higher people choose it more often. Roadsides and field edges seem like the rotary cutter areas. People that want their wooded property thinned tend to choose the mulcher. The real differences to me are a lack of sharp stumps and finer material left with the mucher. Clearing with the rotary cutter is usually quicker. I let them decide.

I don’t know about popular, but here around me, the most common thing is cedar thickets, once you cut or mulch them they’re gone they don’t sprout back. I know what you’re saying, I done a lot of clearing, but there’s kind of a downside to all of them.

Here’s a great idea for a video. I’ve been looking across KZread for a video on how to place your load on a gooseneck trailer and have not found much. Can you please make a video on your thoughts on weight distribution when loading a gooseneck trailer? I have only pulled bumper pulls up to now. I am about to buy my first gooseneck trailer and would like to know where is the best place to place my load as far as front to back. Thanks and I always enjoy your videos.

It would be really nice if equipment manufacturers offered an option for engine/ hydraulic aux circuits to on excavators to be be equivalent to those available on ctl's.

I’ve been saying that for years! I even had a lengthy conversation with a reps about it. It won’t surprise me if it does happen now that emission compliance is so expensive and strict.

How did you like the Shearex? I know that you don't do that style of work, but just your initial impression. I was down to Fecon, FAE, Shearex, and Prinoth. All seemed to do fine and were rugged enough. I ended up getting a Fecon simply because the dealer where we bought our Kubota 57-5 was also a Fecon dealer. Been happy with it, but like anything else there are small changes I would make. I will say if you do much ground engagement get another set of teeth or carbides. They're next on my list.

Those mini’s do so much better with a power pack. I set up a few years ago and was able to get around most of the emissions stuff. I’d hate to see the price of a 120hp or 150hp power pack now. I would like to see a diesel electric drive with a bunch of super capacitors. The mini ex hydraulic system works like normal driving the mulcher and the diesel electric system keeps the mulcher spinning under a load.

Nice mulcher Tim. I will say I’m not sure how that will ever be viable pasture as those stumps won’t grow grass and probably sprout right back unless you spray some type of herbicide to kill the sprouts. Then mowing it will be rough I would think especially as it rots then how many years before you could grade plow or disc it. Dig them out burn it or dispose and start fresh for pasture. Around that pond I’m sure it would be great but I would never sleep at night selling that job to a customer expecting pasture when done.

Always gotta remember, it is what the customer wants. For some reason, people want mulching but is it the best, absolutely not. You can either do what they request and make the money or sit back and watch others capitalize on it and within a few years be right back doing it again making the money again.

@@cotontop3 I don’t agree with that Tim. You have to educate the customer. After that if they are insistent then possibly but i firmly believe in not waisting time $ and energy into something that’s not right. In the long run it will bite you as a business owner when the customer isn’t happy 2 years later and they at that time educate themselves.

It seems like using your grapple with cut-off saw and chipper would be much more efficient unless the customer doesn't mind a bunch of branch pieces everywhere. Can you cover where each would be best used ?
