If you’re new to my channel, my name is Alex Hormozi. I’m the founder and managing partner of Acquisition.com. It’s a family office, which is just a formal way of saying we invest our own money into companies. Our 10 portfolio companies bring in over $200,000,000+ per year. Our ownership stake varies between 20% and 100% of them. Given this is a YT channel, and anyone can claim anything, I’ll give you some stuff you can google to verify below.
How I got here…
21: Graduated Vanderbilt in 3 years Magna Cum Laude, and took a fancy consulting job.
23 yrs old: Left my fancy consulting job to start a business (a gym).
24 yrs old: Opened 5 gym locations.
26 yrs old: Closed down 6th gym. Lost everything.
26 yrs old: Got back to launching gyms (launched 33). Then, lost everything for a 2nd time.
26 yrs old: In desperation, started licensing model as a hail mary. It worked.
27 yrs old: "Gym Launch" does $3M profit the next 6 months. Then $17M profit next 12 months.
28 yrs old: Started Prestige Labs. $20M the first year.
29 yrs old: Launched ALAN, a software company for agencies to work leads for customers. Scaled to $1.7mmo within 6 months.
31 yrs old: Sold 75% of UseAlan to a strategic buyer in an all stock deal.
31 yrs old: Sold 66% of Gym Launch & Prestige Labs at $46.2M valuation in all-cash deal to American Pacific Group. (you can google it)
31 yrs old: Started our family office Acquisition.com. We invest and scale companies using the $42M in distributions we had taken + the cash from the $46.2M exit.
32 yrs old: Started making free content showing how we grow companies to make real business education accessible to everyone (and) to attract business owners to invest or scale their businesses.
34 yrs old: I became co-owner of Skool.com to help the many people who want to start a business online do so.
Today: Our portfolio now does $200M/yr between 10 companies. The largest doing $100M/yr the smallest doing $5M per year. Our ownership varies between 20% and 100% ownership of the companies. Many of them we invested in early and helped grow (which is how we make our money - not youtube videos).
To all the gladiators in the arena, we’re all in the middle of writing our own stories. The worse the monsters, the more epic the story.
You either get an epic outcome or an epic story. Both mean you win.
Keep crushing. May your desires be greater than your obstacles.
Never quit,
Alex

@@mehedihasan_sagor that is a value of $350 per person on the list. Definitely more possible, esp if you think about the sectors where you can charge a lot per person multiple times as you give them more. Edit: Think about areas where you can deliver value that allows people/businesses to save money or generate more money using lesser known info (just like the example in the video). One lady I know does low 7 figs helping businesses save money on a specific costing then they pay her 10 percent of the savings she delivers.

@@vikkotarucis it zero monetization because haven’t created product yet or no one has bought your product yet? If later the Alex had a good video about like how to get more sales I think basically give away free but for limited time like a drawing if sign up or first to sign up get it free, then like very steep discount to first 4 or something then a smaller discount to rest of people with time limit on it. Seemed like sage advice for like course or other digital products would work well.

@@JohnPretty1...per year - so you need only 1000 people, each spending 100$ on your product within 12 months. Yup that's a membership under 10$/month, 2-4 cheap ebooks per person, 1 low ticket course. In my case I'm selling 2$ products - that was not the best choice 😂 - but I have more than 1k customers spending 20$/month, and twice more 10$/month people and plenty of 2-6$ "first time just checking". All goes with the offer. If you can deliver - they will stay and ask for more things to buy, literally they will tell you what they need next. I don't need to "sell" any more - it's exchange, I'm creating things they need to buy.
Thank you for telling this story

So good. This is so true. In my experience, clients and sales come out of anywhere and everywhere. Because Alex is right, behind most views/comments/likes is a living breathing human. Knowing this makes you infinitely more grateful for ANY engagement you get because people are resonating with you in one way or another. It's what makes this online business world a helluva ride. @@davesteckler confirmation in truly niching down. I’m in the health and fitness industry. One of the biggest problems I’ve solved in my own life is redefining my health after sports ended/finding my new “why”. I’ve never consistently talked about that, and yet ALL of my best customers are 90s kids that used to play sports, just like me.
Thank you, I needed this. So much value in this video. We’ve been conditioned to believe that SM popularity(views, likes, followers) equals sales but that’s clearly not the case. Maybe if you wanna be an influencer which is something I’m trying to move away from. Instead, I want to build my own brand/business. It’s so motivating to hear that it’s possible with a small following.
Personally experience this. Solve one problem, for one person, in one specific way. Specificity wins.
