Not only that, but she's forgetting that we aren't our ancestors. We are living better than them. They did not want us to keep bickering the way we do nowadays. We have continued to right the many wrongs that those before us have made. However, we must learn about the past. But it doesn't mean to permeate those same attitudes from the past. And continue to become jaded by those actions . We as humans are supposed to forgive, but don't forget (don't make the same mistakes) to grow and to become better than we were from yesterday. Instead, you have this young lady here trying to excuse bad behavior from those who happen to be black. And she's confusing a bigot with a racist.

I just wish my white ancestors weren't so "LAZY" (buzzword) because I would LOVE some of this mythological generational wealth I have heard about. My Grandparents were literally sharecroppers in rural Louisiana on my mother's side and Eastern European immigrants on my father's side, both sides came to this country after the Civil War. I grew up in a broken home where my mother worked 9 to 5 . Her second job was us, yes, the family, throwing a paper route every morning before school. So, wake up at 3 am, roll the papers that were dropped on our porch at 2 am and then getting in the car and driving around throwing newspapers out the window of the car. I was 12 along with my 10 yr. old brother throwing papers to the addresses my mother called out off a notebook page as my 4 year old sister and 2 year old brother were in the front seat, tell me please tell me again about this alleged generational wealth white people get given to us ......for free......off the alleged backs of black people.......please discuss class and tell me again about my white privilege and generational wealth.

Just want to point out that white privilege is not all about money. Please don't be intentionally obtuse in order to discredit what we know is true. Here is ONE example. The crown act. A bill passed in California disallowing the discrimination based on hair texture. This was passed in order to prevent people from saying that afros and locs are inappropriate hairstyles for work and other spaces. Most White people have the privilege of not having to worry about that because it is extremely less likely that they have ever had to worry about that, because their hair was considered professional right off the bat. Another example being the beauty standards are very euro centric. ONE MORE being that study where the two identical resumes were sent in and the one with the "whiter" sounding name got more callbacks than the one with the "black" sounding name. And don't say just give your kids normal names because what makes "whiter" names more normal? Despite the unfortunate circumstances you have grown up in there are still privileges you are afforded that I am not just as there are privileges I may be afforded that your are not. Even among different classes there are different forms of white privilege so please save your story for a more appropriate situation

@@awilson1800 regarding the "Crown Act" there are social standards for neatness. You can say that these standards are European being that Europeans created the civilization that we live it but no-one was discrimination on hair texture they were setting uniformity standards. If a person of African decent had a big fluffy fro or dreadlocks is similar to if a Caucasian has a spiked up teased up, long hair or a Mohawk and we were made to cut them. I lost a job in the 90s because I had a pony tail and was told if I cut my hair I would get the job. It is just part of society degrading, when I was young I had friends that worked at a grocery store and they were sent home because they needed a shave. Now that's to the crown act you regularly see people at retail jobs that have unkempt facial hair and hairdos' sometimes it is downright gross like this butcher at a certain store which has a bushy unkempt beard. As far as saying this one time someone did an experiment and sent two identical resumes with different names that is an isolated incident and proves nothing. Perhaps it is true though although I think that's very unjust. Just because your parents named you some weird sounding name doesn't mean you are a stereotype. Although I feel eventually black people will realize that if they want equal respect they will have to be held to the same standards. Presently the victim hood grift along with outward support for lowering standards in order to give handouts to African descendants only hurts them. When we use merit and achievement is the only way we can have equality. Lowering qualifications only hurts us all.

@skullheadwater9839 yes there are social standards, the issueim pointing out here is those social standards tend to be biased against black people. Afros and locs are not the equivalent of spiked hair and mohawks. my hair grows in an afro...the only way to change it is to cut it or permanently change it with chemicalsad continue to do that each time it grows. while locs are a stye it is a cultural and someimes religious one and people should not be discriminated against for their culture. just becuase something is a part of society doesn't mean it should just be accepted, that's not how change comes about. the resume experiment was done multiple times by many different people and the bias was there multiple times. what makes the name weird sounding? i think Gregory is a weird sounding name yet it is considered normal. your solution is for black people to conform instead of telling others to be more accepting will erase an american subculture which contributes to american culture in a way no other one does. your original comment was arguably a victimization of yourself. though i acknowledge your struggle, why is it okay for you to deny white privilege by saynig you grew up poor but not okay for me to state that black people have unique challenges becuase of racism? the main point of my reply was that while you also had a unique struggle it does not erase the trueness of white privilege which takes many forms in every economic class. it also is not race relevant you struggle is class based. if black people are being disregarded simply for being black that is not a merit based system, by acknowledging the challenges faced and addressing them is how we can create true equity.

My women kind were enslaved even though they weren't and my ancestor was apart of the underground railroad, but where's my reparations for being a female and can be enslaved? Oh I don't get any cause I'm white? BUt you do because you're black? and because your OWN BLACKS sold you off because they didn't care and wanted to get richer? it seems like their target....should be the RICH which ironically it's the rich people who are the ones once again, pulling the strings telling them how to feel and how to act and that they're the ones who encouraged this behavior. you could say the rich once again enslaved them through manipulation good to see history just damn well repeated itself but not by force but by stupidity.

Some of these words are just common words we say everyday, to the point that we'll not only call people lazy but there will be times we call ourselves lazy. So I don't see how calling myself lazy is also me calling myself racist. By the by look forward to if you bring up a delusional Black Actor calling someone Hitler.
