Mariam Ibraheem was born in a refugee camp in Sudan. Her Muslim father died when she was six, and her mother raised her in the Christian faith. After a traumatic childhood, Mariam became a successful businessperson, married the man she loved, and had a beautiful baby boy.
But one day in 2013, her world was shattered when Sudan authorities insisted she was Muslim because of her father’s background. She had broken the law by marrying a Christian man, and she must abandon both her marriage and her son and adopt Islam. Under intense pressure, Mariam repeatedly refused. Ultimately, a Sharia court sentenced her to 100 lashes-and death by hanging.
Follow Mariam’s story from life under Islamic law, through imprisonment and childbirth while shackled, to her remarkable escape from death following an international outcry and advocacy that included diplomats, journalists, activists, and even Pope Francis.

Christians are being persecuted here in the USA. M y former pastor was threatened with prison along with the congregation and only the appeal to the US Supreme Court stopped it from taking place. Christians who stand up for the faith doctrines sometimes are persecuted. There are secret courts and secret court orders against Christians. 😢

I remember Miriam's story! I try to follow persecuted Christian's across the world and found Miriam's story since she was given a death penalty and it was in world news and it took a bit of digging to find the real story. I so remember her and praying for her. When she was finally granted freedom it was glorious victory of Jesus Christ! So happy to hear her testimony. For your information, same sex marriage is not at all permitted or written in bible as a word of God that has to be followed and obeyed. If it happens that pope as you said are marrying and giving blessings to gay people getting married which I would love to see solid proof of that, nonetheless, this is nothing to do with Jesus or true Christianity... The names of the cities Beersheba, Israel, jerusalem, Bethlehem, Samaria, Capernaum; ... etc have existed for thousands of years and Jews were the ones living on that space called palestine. The Jews were exiled to Babylon, Assyria, etc, and scattered all over several countries and continents in those exiles. However, it was God's promise to return the reminants (very very few) back to Israel, and that in the latter days, Israelites all over the world will be returning back to their land. Well sadly there are far too many who follow Islam that do kill …in fact your prophet advocated killing non Muslims during his time in Medina. It is good if you follow that but it’s crazy the way too many Muslims do support killing for any reason at all.

But it is a sharia law that they followed and sharia law is an Islamic law practised in certain countries which gave same objective and proofs of plenty individual suffered and went through inhuman same awful punishment men and women pregnant or not experienced and went through...
