Your English is so good! It’s honestly almost a 100% correct. What you said wasn’t a bad way of saying it. Here in the US, we have so many dialect and accents. People say things differently everywhere. I can’t always understand what Irish and Scottish people are saying bc it’s so different. You should be proud of how you’re speaking.

I had my hair to my butt, twice. First time I cut it under my shoulders but the hair was damaged by constand home coloring and by no real care anyway so it was better from all sides. But second time I had my hair to my butt and it was in way better condition and pretty. I was taking waaaay better care, stopped to use color eventually and was lucky it faded in a way it looked like reverse ombre with faded auburn-ish bottom half peeking through and seemingly naturally blending into my natural dark blond/light brown-ish hair in the upper half, I knew better styles, in short, my hair looked GOOD. And I came to the hairdresser and said take it under my chin. She didn't really want to but I did and I was very happy, no regrets. I loved how my face looked, my hair also looked way thicker than usual, I was different but the hairdresser did it in a way very suiting my face. Also it grew quickly, I feel that it got under my shoulders again so fast.

I’ve been cutting my hair since the pandemic. Going to the barber next week for the first time since COVID. My mother helped me to curl my hair and complained about all my layers. I can cut my aunts hair (and she loves what I do) since I can see what I’m doing at every angle but it’s hard to cut your own hair since you can’t see every angle of your own head. I can cut my hair, but it’s just not as good as what I can do for my aunt and what the barber can do for me. I can feel this woman’s pain since that’s kind of what I did the first time but with a razor. It didn’t look too bad, it was just very edgy and I looked emo lol but these things never go how you want them to especially on the first try. Anyway, Happy Eclipse Day, Hair Buddha.

I love the way you pronounce words in English. They might not all be correct but it is you and perfect. Besides, very very very few people that speak English speak it correctly. Very few. As for the cut …. Yikes! The sound of those scissors cutting her hair was worse than nails on a chalkboard. She looks good with long and short hair but the short looks better on her face.

I did this last week: cut my long hair to my shoulders, but I used hairdressing scissors and did small sections at a time. I started longer than I wanted and cut a bit of length off at a time til I was happy with it. Then I sectioned it, pulled it upwards and layered it a little. It turned out ok. I should've filmed it and put it on tiktok. LOL

Well, most of us English speakers know that "wetten your hair" is simply Hair Buddha's way of saying "get your hair wet." We know what you mean. I personally like it when those who speak English as a second language make grammatical errors. It adds a bit of "personality" to it. I'm familiar with Hair Buddha's way of speaking, and that's what makes it charming. I'm sure Dutch and German speakers think the same about my imperfect way of speaking their languages.

I am In Cape Town South Africa and we have also jad some violent storms since Saturday. One road along the coast had to be closed because of the wind. So much beach sand has blown across a very busy road making it impossible to use. Some schools closed cos the kids can't get there. It's WIIIIIIIIINDY with a bit of rain.

Being impulsive can be helpful in a weird way. I know you care A LOT about hair, but cutting off ones own hair can be very freeing. Cutting your own hair is taking total autonomy over your body and appearance. It may not come out as a good haircut, but it can have a lot of mental value. I shaved and cut my own hair and felt so better afterwards. Even with a shitty, ugly style created from damaged hair. I felt better. I felt like I finally had something on my body that was completely from myself after many formative years of abuse. After that, I started going to professionals for my hair. I agree, it’s not just hair. Hair has a lot of spiritual, philosophical, and personal connotations. You’re showing recognition of this in a very raw way by mentioned alopecia and cancer. You give incomparable advice to the other hair experts i’ve seen online. Even with English being a second language, what you choose to say and how you explain hair care is unique. It’s shown while you talk about the typical “put hair in ponytails while cutting your own hair” method. Your knowledge will go even further with more kindness. Your kindness is what made me love watching you. Positivity heals oneself and influence others with knowledge. You have EXTREMELY great advice. However, people don’t take advice when they feel attacked. Your advice is worth hearing by anyone with hair or without. So please, show more kindness in your phrasing and voice. Be kind, polite, affectionate, loving, and restrained. Like Buddha.

Wetten is a verb in English, but we don't really use it. We mostly just use "wet" as the verb. So "Wet your hair" is usual. You don't need to say "make your hair wet". There are some contexts where "wetten" could be used without it sounding unusual, but I can't think of a good example! I would suggest just using "wet".
