The first documentary feature film dedicated to the art of plastic surgery in the context of revealing the personality through changes in the human body. The author of the idea and one of the key figures of the picture was Dr. Edgar Kaminskyi.
This film was filmed in 2019. Due to the pandemic and Covid-19 quarantine reasons, the presentation was postponed for a long time.
The main character of the film, Andriana, became one of the winners of the beauty contest "красота за добро" (according to the rules, the participants helped orphanages and transferred money for children's treatment), having won a free operation. She flew in from London and immediately found herself at the epicenter of the filming process. The film very subtly shows the emotions of the heroine at all stages of her personal transformations. Friends call the heroine Andy, hence the name of the film “She as Andy”
One day of filming was entirely devoted to the operation. For the first time in the entire practice of Edgar Kaminskyi, there were more than 20 people in the operating room. The uniqueness of the movie lies in the live shooting. The doctor didn't have a chance for another take, for a second attempt at a cut. In the film, you can see his unique technique of closed-saving controlled rhinoplasty. The operation lasted 2 hours. During the operation, there was a live stream on Dr. Kaminskyi's Instagram.
Yes, there are real shots of the operation in the film, but they are presented so delicately and beautifully that the viewer will not want to turn away. The last shots of the film with the result of the operation were filmed at the end of 2020. It took a whole year to create this picture, but the result was worth the wait.
