@Yong Geun Song Breaking up with her would be a better option, its not worth shifting your entire life around someone when they dont care enough to even be there when they are supposed to.

The friend was right, she is thoughtless and rude to constantly have people waiting on her. She's so inconsiderate and I don't understand how the boyfriend or friends could put up with it. I also put some of the blame on the boyfriend because he keeps putting up with it. After 30 minutes or even 1 hour why wait? If you had plans, if the weather is not right, I wouldn't still be there. I will go on with my day.

Honesty her vibes are really negative to me. Something that none mentioned was the fact she would go out with other guys without telling him. I don't think she is just late, I think she is cheating as well. She just wants to marry the guy in order to be financially stable and use him. Also the fact she isn't working shows that she doesn't want to really do anything, even lazy People work. She is really using the guy.

it's interesting how he called her like "family." i was talking to my therapist and she was saying how if you're around toxic relationships, like your parents, you're more likely to be attracted to people that have similar characteristics like them. she feels like family yet abuses him, gives him food, purposefully says bad things. sounds a lot like what his parents would be like. he can't let go because of that connection she feels like his family and he was prob sad that he had to leave his family and she resembles them. so really, it's not entirely his fault. we all crave love and affection from our parents and if we don't get that, we try to seek it out in the adult world :)

It's the contrary, its more about the feeling that u need the perfect opposite of yr parents behavior not their so u will be attraced to someone who will be able to give u what u need If you think carefully about who u want

She's so incredibly selfish but at the same time he has enabled her behaviour for 5 whole years. If he wants her to change he's gonna have to be really firm/strict and show her he won't tolerate it anymore - like how you would with a child lol. Otherwise she will continue to walk all over him and he will end up losing even more friends.

Sorry not sorry but she isn’t pretty enough for him to wait 2/3 hours for a date....Plus her personality truly sucks if she thinks its okay to cancel on him,after he waits hours for her...

I had an friend like that and she blew up on me when I stop wanting to hangout. Who wants to make plans with someone who consistently shows up very late or cancel after making you wait for a long time, I know I don't. I heard from an mutual friend that she since then got a lot better but she hates me because I gave up on her. Honestly, I am more angry with myself for putting up with it for so long.

He doesn't love her he just got used to her in his life ......my friend met her boyfriend right after she lost her dad and she dated him for 4 years but she couldn't handle him no more he was not showing her in the slightest bit that he loves her or he cares about her I told her to breakup with him and I remember she said she couldn't because he was with her when her dad died and she dated him for a long time but after few months she couldn't take it no more and broke up with him

It seems like he went from being abused by his parents to being abused by his girlfriend. She is definitely emotionally abusing him. She seems to have narcissistic symptoms, all of her actions seem to fall in line with the symptoms. She's not going to change if that's the case, she'll pretend like she's trying to get him to relax then slowly go back to being hours late.

Guy is dumb if he doesn't ditch his GF. If he stays and marry her, he'll be waiting most of his life for her to get ready. This is really about him. He doesn’t want to lose people he’s close to even if they’re hurting him because he doesn’t have a good family. He needs to understand that letting her go will not mean he will be alone. There’s a woman out there who would love and respect him. lol my whole family has that problem that's why when I go to class I tell my mom to pick me up 45- to 1 hour ahead of the time my class us over and even then I wait like 10-15 minutes...

I personally know someone who is very much like her in terms of lateness. Not dressing up, just late in preparing to go out. She prepares to go out at the time when we were supposed to reach the location, and has to shower, change etc, and by the time she reaches the place, it is at least 45mins to an hour. Sometimes I seriously wish that the restaurants we reserved at would just not let us in so that she can learn from it, but we never go to popular restaurants, only regular ones so they always let her get away with it. It is really hard especially since she is not only my elder, she makes her own mother wait as well, and her mother complains that she has been like that since young and not sure why she is this way.

Note: I'm not a psychologist but I'm able to suggest this because her traits also appear in myself (I'm an INFP) if I couldn't control myself or being stressed. So I know her position and try to make solutions that suits her the best. Her traits are more likely to be unhealthy INFP (in this case, she uses her Fi function excessively). It makes her being inconsiderate to people and likely selfish. She tends to do what she believe, what makes her comfortable, and once her boyfriend/friend tell her that they believe in her, she'll always use that term to excuse her being selfish. Never tell her that if she late, she'll make people wait. It makes her being controlled by other and she'll likely refuse it (which tend her to be later than usual). Try to focus on the purpose/goal about WHY SHE HAS TO BE IN TIME. Try to tell about if she is able to do it, she'll gain more advantages, for example she could date her boyfriend longer so it will increase the preciousness of her adult life, or if her appointment is shopping with her friends, they could hang out longer and more things to buy. Instead, engage her to practice her Ne to press down her excessive Fi. Bring her to a library, a concert, a museum, or simply a park and ask her what she thinks about the place. Always try to make her more talkative by bringing abstract topics, for example art, literature, conspiracy (if they're able to do so), etc. I think she's interested with fashion and beauty, so try to compliment her sense of fashion and try to make her talking about fashion and beauty. But never force her to tell them all. She'll likely choose one or two topics that she's interested in. It'll makes her less selfish and she'll likely easier to find the meaning/value of something. She'll understand people's point of view (people are living for a reason) and try to be more considerate to them. More important key: BE PATIENT. Try to slowly bring her outside more. Be talkative about abstract topics with her. But never force her. Never emphasize that she has to do it for people's sake, she has to do it for her sake. Try to respect her personal value, never compare hers to other's value.

My once tennis mixed doubles partner had the license plate on her car which read, "Always late, but worth the wait." One time she was so late even to our tournament match, we had to forfeit it. That was the end of our partnership.

I have a friend who is just exactly like her. Now we are not that close anymore because I cannot take her behaviour. I did not want to feel upset all the time because she always turned up late 2 to 3 hrs, so I chose to keep my distance. With my personality who always try to be punctual, I would never understand this sort of habit. Not that I did not try to be considerate to my friend, but I could not let her do whatever when I knew it's a bad habit that she had to fix. I hope this girl can change and start learning to respect other people's time too.

I had a few friends like this..... one offered to pick me up from the office she was close by, but ended up being late for 45 minutes, when I called her she said "You should be happy that I offered to pick you up in the first place."... the 2nd one asked for lunch at 1230, I arrived at the restaurant at 1225 to wait for her. She called at 1230 and said she was just leaving the office and it would take her 30 minutes to get there so I told her I'll order my food and leave at 1330 as I have only an hour. She got mad and said that she had to stop to talk to a colleague, since I work for my own business, it shouldn't matter. That day, I told her "My time is precious too and if you don't respect that, we'll not have lunch any longer." Yes, it would have been best to lose that friend if she is always late and making sure her time is more precious than my own. Friendship goes both ways.

The girl is so inconsiderate and I feel bad for her because employers don't like late workers. You can even get fired for excessive lateness. The guy needs to find someone else who will make him happy and not use his parents situation against him. He also needs to apologize to his friend because it's friends over relationships till you say "I DO". I have late friends myself and I never entertain them once they are late. I always tell them "At this rate in which you are late, hope you won't be late for your own funeral because it looks to me like you'll miss it." He has entertained her enough, it's time he moves on and finds someone else.

Here is an easy solution to this. Tell her the date an hour/two hours/three hours earlier than it actually is. So she either comes on time(if she is late lol) or comes early(and experience waiting, maybe she'll understand then lol). Or you can both come late lolll. If you are both late technically you are both on time Lolololol (unless it's a pre-booked event like a bought movie ticket or something)

I have the same problem as her. I like to play my phone for a while after i wake up and i’m very lazy to leave my bed also i take super long to choose my outfits i keep changing and changing but i’m aware of myself and i will feel bad if i make someone i’m meeting wait for me for hours so i wake up extra 2-3 hours early and if i know that i’m surely gonna be late i inform my friend in advance to not leave the house first because i will be late so if she knows that she’s this kind of person she should be more considerate and put in more effort to wake up earlier to prepare there’s no excuses and stop pulling out the if he loves me he should wait for me thing it’s super selfish and inconsiderate!
