Judit Polgár (born 23 July 1976) is a Hungarian chess grandmaster, widely regarded as the strongest female chess player of all time. Polgár is the only woman to have been a serious candidate for the World Chess Championship, in which she participated in 2005.
Polgár is the only woman to have won a game against a reigning world number one player, and has defeated eleven current or former world champions in either rapid or classical chess : Magnus Carlsen, Anatoly Karpov, Garry Kasparov, Vladimir Kramnik, Boris Spassky, Vasily Smyslov, Veselin Topalov, Viswanathan Anand, Ruslan Ponomariov, Alexander Khalifman, and Rustam Kasimdzhanov.

By my count she’s beaten at least 10 current or former World Champs, but not all in classical matches. Including Garry Kasparov Anatoly Karpov Viswanathan Anand Boris Spassky Vladimir Kramnik Ruslan Ponomariov Veselin Topalov Magnus Carlsen Alexey Shirov Possibly more Polgar is one of the fiercest attacking players of all time. A few years back she beat Magnus in an informal game the video is on YT.
Even if she does that, I don't understand why there is such a fuss about it.. she didn't reach to super GM level .. never topped 2700 .. she is a genius, there is no doubt but like many other male GMs! She won against Magnus Carlson too.. u cannot just pick one game against a world champion and conclude she is better .. how many can u win in 10 games or 20 games ?
