Come to think of it, this is a pretty good series to have a full video option for too, since there isn't a legal English streaming service option for it.

GBC is peak! Fun fact: This is the first VA debut for all the characters in the band - they were a band first and foremost and created the songs for the anime, and then voiced the characters. Nina's VA was only 16 when she started. It's amazing!

Just to clarify, the girls were all hired individually. They were separate auditions and then they became a band, made the music, and then the anime came out.

I love GBC ❤ The fact that the band really exists makes this even better! Another comment already mentioned that the band was casted for their respective instruments and then trained for voice acting , but it’s just so fascinating and the rookie voice acting gives this a special realistic feeling. There isn’t one song from this band that I don’t enjoy (name later mentioned in anime that’s why I didn’t say it) The story and the why it’s written is awesome and I love the animation! The music is the beyond enjoyable and makes you feel! This is my favorite anime this season and one of my all time Top 5 Thanks for reacting to this

@jenninkb I'm happy you're enjoying it so far. There are quite a few songs that the band released before the anime came out and are also not in the show. You should definitely check them out (once all band members are present). I like them all! (Examples: Bleeding hearts, Paradox me, Underneath, Lonely fate to be destined and like 4+ more)

You ended up with kinda bad subtitles here. It's not super bad for this episode, but it does make it sound like Momoka's roommate's name is Kawasaki, when that's actually just the name of the city they're in, and of course the "it's joever" line shouldn't be there. We had to rely on English fansubs early on and the first ones out were usually machine translated from French subs with "meme" lines added to it. I think AniWave has good subs for all of the episodes so far.

@@jenninkb btw if you want good subs go with the "SobsPlease" or "NakayubiSubs" release, as this show was not officially released anywhere outside of japan those are the best you can get for now.

Excited to see y'all reacting to this. Other than Whisper Me a Love Song, this is the one girl band anime this season I highly recommend. (And there are surprisingly a LOT of girl band anime this season.) The characters and style are really unique and interesting imo, and the music is fantastic. This series is actually 13 episodes long and the finale doesn't air until this weekend. Also whether or not the rest of the series goes full yuri, in this first episode I was still kinda happy to see a gay person acknowledged.

Yesss! That's good to know that you are enjoying this amongst the Girl Band anime that's come out.

They have songs that are not in the anime, so you really should check out their songs later. ( my favorite right now is "Lonely fate to be destined" )

Momoka shouts stupid and shows middle finger. Nina asks what showing the middle finger means. Momoka: It's a sign of thanks. Later, Nina uses both middle fingers to thank the waitresses for her food.☝️ So funny! Watched the first episode to see what it was like, before I new it, I've just finished episode 8! Really enjoying it. 🎸 Yuri, yuri ish or not yuri? Episode 8 will give you an answer to that. It's interesting that they auditioned for musicians for the singer, guitar, bass, drummer, and keyboard to formed the band and be the va's for the anime rather than using an existing band or having separate Va's and musicians. So who will be added to to the plushie waifu lists for this anime? Seeing that pokemonlover has added their request again, for fun, I'm adding this one that i know is on your list.
