Moral: the mother thought of only herself and her wants even though she was put in a position of ruling for her people, her daughter only thought of her people and did right by them first, then she did what she thought was good for her

Wow!! The wait was worth it. What I liked about Chioma was that, she was very careful and critical about her actions. She knew there would be consequences no matter what choice she made, but was willing to accomplish her plan as she had meant it from before. She reminds me of Queen Esther in the Bible, who applied wisdom to seek favour and audience from the king which in turn brought favour and liberation for her people. 🎉🎉

I learnt a lot from this story. Lesson 1: I loved that Chioma believed in herself and sought the counsel of the elders. It reminds me of proverbs 24:6b..”in a multitude of counsellors there is safety”. Unlike her mother who ignored the counsel of her parents and chose herself over her people, which ended badly for her; Chioma chose to be selfless and honoured her elders counsel and it turned out great for her. Lesson 2: I also love how Chioma was wise enough to seek the freedom of her people in a peaceful way by observing the kind of king the people had. Rather than going through the usual violent means, she wisely observed and made such decision. Lesson 3: I learnt that there will always be someone better who will love you even more than who you consider to be the best person. And if you are good and wise you won’t miss this person. Chioma could have panicked like her mother and fled with Tobechukwu because she did not want to lose him, but instead, she responsibly chose selfless love and the love for her people over her own love life. In the end she got a kind man who loved her beyond her imagination and had loved her before she even knew him. A man who loved her people and was on top of everything also a person of royal blood. He was definitely better than tobechukwu.

I love your stories for they are surely the utmost best! The lessons and wisdom are very clear and I sincerely love learning from your stories. What I learned from it reminded me of the story of Queen Esther and then this verse came to mind; Esther 4:14 "For if you keep silent at this time, relief and deliverance will rise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father's house will perish. And who knows whether you have not come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” I felt like Chioma selflessness, resilience and confidence brought freedom not just for herself but her people also. Very beautiful!

Love all your stories. Chioma put the needs of others before her own, and it led her to prosperity and happiness. Her mother chose a selfish path and suffered. Nowadays I think we’ve all gotten used to putting our own needs above all else, and it usually has the opposite effect to the one we hoped for.

  • @tcironbear21

Basic moral: Do not shirk your duties for love. For a person who would want you to shirk your duties for them, is probably not worthy of your love. Adaugo shirked her duties to her people for "love", and she and her people suffered for it. Chioma sacrificed her "love" for the sake of her people, and she and her people prospered due to her dedication to them.

One moral for me is it is okay not to be with the first man who shows interest as not all are interested for the right reasons. Adaugo left her people for Obinna, which ended in disaster because he only loved her money and status. Chioma could have ended up in the same position had she gave in to Tobe.

is Chioma a term used in Nigeria to describe a child in general? I know it means "gift from god." I have noticed you use the word often, in many videos which makes me think it's not someone's name at all but a way of saying "child" like how Latino folk use the term "mija" or "mijo"

Hello, there is an tribe in Nigeria, called igbo. It is their usual practice to add "Chi" to their names. Chi means God. So, in this case "Oma" means good and if you add both of them together, it means God is Good. In summary, Chi is a way of adding God to our names.
