She Disappeared From Hollywood 50 Years Ago, Now the Rumors Are Confirmed
Ойын-сауық
We got lost with her in a land unlike our own, but what ever happened to Land of the Lost child star Kathy Coleman, and what polar opposite career did she get into? How was her love life actually way more turbulent and dangerous than the thrills young Holly Marshall got up to? How did she and Phillip Paley feel about each other when the cameras weren’t rolling?

One reviewer said the movie was just like a Saturday Night Live sketch. The TV show had a strange, creepy feel to it, totally unlike any other show.
I saw bits and pieces of the movie and I hated it! It had no respect for the source material.
Land of the Lost was the BEST! The sleestacks scared the crap out of me, but still I faithfully watched. Great for the update on the show, I never watched the Will Farrell movie.

It was hilarious, but wasn't a land of the lost vintage in any way!
One of the biggest crushes of my childhood. Still smile when I see cuts from the show. Sorry to hear she had such a hard life. I didn't know about any of the stuff that happened to her after the show went off the air.
I loved Th e Land Of The Lost tv show only. Not the movie. The tv show will always be in my heart.
I loved this show growing up!
One of the main reasons for looking forward to Saturdays in the mid 1970s. I think every guy of a certain age had a crush on Holly.😊 I knew she'd had many rough times, but not as rough as they actually were. Sorry it was that way for you, Kathy. You deserved better.

The Will Ferrel movie version SUCKED!!!
Always watched Land of the Lost as a kid. Never knew there was a movie.. but they shouldn’t have been cut from movie or not invited. Hollywood sucks ass!
I remember my sister and I watching it every Saturday morning religiously. I just found out by watching this video that Kathy and I are the same age.
I was 6 years old in 1975 and i started watching this show even in my teens and still love it.
Cathy was a long-time member of The Mike Curb Congregation. She features on their hit single "Burning Bridges". Land of the Lost was literally halfway through her child star career. It was a move from music stage and television variety to acting.
I have all three seasons on DVD. Saturday mornings were the best in the 70's.
I grew up with the Land of the Lost. When the movie came out and it starred Will that was enough of a reason NOT TO WATCH IT!!!!

I was going to say somthing about Spencer Milligans passing but others beat me to the punch, so I will just say land of the lost was one of my favorite Saturday morning shows in the 1970s...
That show was a part of my joyful childhood memories, but I wasn't obsessed with it. I'm happy she seems to have made peace with the rest of her life. Nicely done video.
Thanks for the video. BTW - The clips you show from the Burger King commercial, is not Kathy. It is Maureen McCormick from the Brady Bunch.
I never saw the show when it first aired in the 70's. I did see it when it was rebroadcast in the late 80's, watching with my son. I liked it. I did not however like the Will Farrell movie. His portrayal of Marshall as an idiot was offensive.
That thumbnail! Lol. "Big eye syndrome."😂😂👁👁 I used to watch this every Saturday morning!👍
The Land of the Lost movie was an abomination
I loved the original land of the lost TV series, but I did not care for the remake. I wish they had stuck more to the original storylines and characters.
I love the show. I’m still seeing the theme song today and remember it that TV was still good, all the good old days.🙂
😊 Loved this show ! My lil brother and I wouldn't miss this for nothin ,back in the day. I now own it on DVD and still love it. 🤠🖖♨️
Thanks for this👍
I loved it. Was good days . I'm 60 now was around 10or 11 then❤❤❤❤🤓🤓
I absolutely loved this show as a kid! This made me smile remembering the days. (Man, I sound old…)
Fortunately, I was in prison when the movie was released, so I missed it.

It was one of my favorite shows 😊
Very good vid. I recall when The Land of The Lost premiered. I'm only about 2 years older and watching presumed we were the same age. I thought "Holly" was cuter than bug's ear. I was performance-aware enough to recognize she was was a very good actress. I mean, with the then cutting-edge video FX, one HAD to be a good performer to interact with stop action animation you can't even see! (Great job, Kathy!) Holly brought a innocent sweetness to the show which was tempered with her surging wisdom: Holly could end up in a tight situation because of her kindness yet, from experiential learning she'd also sometimes concern that should be heeded. A smart girl, not a mere Republic serial damsel-in-distress. I am so happy for her that the talent, mental wherewithal, and common sense sense that surely secured her the part grew also so as to carry her through future challenges! Still a fan of Holly Marshal and the girl who brought her to life for us.
Loved it.
she was just on the news recently with wesley for the death of spencer (marshall) milligan.
I used to watch Land Of The Lost every Saturday morning when I was a kid... Loved that show. Even though it's probably seen as goofy now.😂
It was a great show I always looked forward to watching
I am a year older than her and was in love with this program.
Holy lost and found! What a blast from the past...
I would always make sure you watch land of the lost ; when possible. I don't particularly care for Will Ferrell because he's always the same person in every movie and film that he does even on Saturday night live. I did watch it with my son though.
Liked watching the series when I was a little kid. Always wondered what became of her, now I'll need to read her books! Sorry to hear the about how she was dissed from the movie, and after parties! IF it wasn't for her and the rest of HER co Stars, there would not have been a movie!
I loved this show! I was 10-11 at the time.
Use to watch it growing up, enjoyed it back then. Didnt know that Will Ferrell did a movie version of it but seeing as Im not a fan I wouldnt have gone to watch it even if I did.
I'm going to look stupid for asking this question but i don't care. who was the other blonde girl standing next to her at the beginning of the video ?
Now that you found Holly...how about finding the biggest mystery from Land of the Lost.... Spencer Milligan?

Yes, I saw that this morning, so I deleted my previous comment on him. I believe Milligan was in two separate episodes of THE BIONIC WOMAN before he left Hollywood behind. RIP, Spencer; you're badly missed.
the scene that you said was deleted was not deleted when the movie first came out at that time i watched it again about a week ago on max the scene was gone .
This was a great Saturday morning cartoon in the Bay Area. I remember it well. with my pop-tarts, Honey Comb cereal, and an orange. Great memories. I had a little crush on her. Glad shes doing well.
Watched it as a kid on Saturday and it was a escape from reality, never knew wil feral did a sequel! Why isn't it on reruns?
Thank you thank you... I will do that....
She’s very nice. I met her at a casino where I was performing with a band. We talked for quite a while. She was taller than I thought.
Loved the show and that tight family had to out wit there adversaries and with humor. Wasn’t aware of the books she penned, I’m glad she emerged triumphant over all of things that can bring down a child actor. Too bad ole Will didn’t invite her to the movie premiere, perhaps Will was is a publicity hog😏
I was 3 when the show first aired. So i only saw the reruns. And 6 when Star Wars 1st came out. So the special effects back then were 🤩 amazingly realistic 😁
I watched this when I was growing up. I had a crush on Wes. My two sons watched the reboot. Never watched the movie. I thought it looked ridiculous when I saw the preview.
Loved Land of the Lost as a kid. I did not like Will Farrells movie.

I cannot watch the “Land Of The Lost” movie. I’ve too many grand memories of the TV show. It (the series) was my version of perfection and, even now, I can’t imagine watching the movie. Sorry (?) Mr. Ferrel. 🤔👍
Loved the series, hated the movie, Will Ferrell ruined it and I was so excited when I heard there was going to be a movie
I watched this show all of the time when I was little. Yeah, I’m old lol.
I can hear the entire intro song of 'Land Of ...' in my head, know every word. I was smitten over her, didn't care about Marshal or Will, it was that darn Holly!
Phillip Paley is with the other cast members at almost every convention.
I agree with some of the others, loved the show as a kid. I can't stand Will. I could not watch the movie.
9:12 flashed back to an Ep. of LOTL, with Holly writing a message to her father and brother on a piece of slate, with a chunk of burned wood , when she woke in the morning and found them gone. "At High Bluff, I'm Mad!" signed Holly. Loved land of the lost as a young teen. the movie was an Abomination, and insult to the series...
I loved this show growing up! It used to come on where we lived at 5am, though. But my sister & I loved it. My early childhood to tv 😂🤷♀️🫶💕.
I only liked it because Wesley was on it. Had such a crush on him.
This was my favorite show when I was 8. I had a crush on her. 😊
I was in kindergarten when "Land of the Lost" came out. I thought Holly was played by Susan Olson, who played Cindy Brady from "The Brady Bunch."
I did not like will's movie.
I was almost 18 when this show came on. Yeah, she was cute, but a 17 year old, going on 18 wasn't lusting after her. She was wayyyy too young for me to think about her.
Why would they cut out the original cast members from the movie!? That’s what connects the original with the big screen. Dumb I think. Haven’t watched it, and since they aren’t even in it, even for 20 seconds, don’t plan to.
Milligan died on 4/18/24 in the county I live in, Door County WI. I met her once when I worked at a resort. She came in with her boyfriend at the time around 9 pm and was begging to tell her Milligan Milligan lived and a phone number. She called numerous times asking for the number which I did not know! She then found out our late maintenance man knew home so she would stalk him for awhile. It was crazy!
I liked Land of the Lost and all the Kroffts shows. I did notice though in this presentation that the fast-food commercials were showing Maureen McCormic (Marcia Brady.) This however was a great presentation regardless.
I grew up watching Land of the lost. I liked the show, I thought it was cheap on the special effects, but watched it every week. I didn’t like the movie at all.
I don't think we had this in the uk. Or i don't remember it. This was the sort of American show that we loved on weekend morning tv 😊
It's a shame she was snubbed by the 2009 film, but her dedication to her fans and the nostalgic conventions show her true character.

Loved the show as a kid but always laughed at how their clothes always looked like they just pulled them off of the store shelf even after being in the land of the lost for years, and how overly-stupid the writers made the sleestaks
I watched, “Land of the Lost” when it on TV decades ago.
I actually hated how bad this show was, but I never missed it because I had a huge crush on Kathy.
Yes I like this show when I was a kid. I would it all the time.
I just can’t bring myself to watch the “Land Of The Lost” movie ‘cuz of all the fond memories I have of the original series. It was/is my version of perfection & I can’t imagine sullying that. I can’t do it with the “Nutty Professor”, “Miracle On 34th Street”, or (more recently) “Footloose”, either. The reboots may be great, but they’re sure to pale in comparison to my memories of the first ones that I saw. Ah, well. Just an aside, I do love these posts, DYR. Such nostalgia is really good for my soul. It’s invigorating. Thanks! 👍🩷

I went to school with Kathy briefly in Van Nuys Ca. in the 5th grade; we would walk together on Sherman Way Blvd. to Hazeltine Elementary. Funny I remember her last name being Buck? maybe I was wrong or have a bad memory. I still have a Class picture from that year (Could be wrong but I believe our teacher was Mrs. Art) and we were wearing Maxi dresses, she was cute as always and I felt goofy! LOL 😄
