This is a good book. Does provide a step by step introduction to how to build things kzread.infoUgkxhgbP-6hUnXu_QRaoHgLztgsI0YF3HqR0 , also does offer some steps. Includes pictures to give you ideas for layouts and such. If you are looking for a guide, this is not exactly what you want. But if you are trying to familiarize yourself with the way that pole barn building and other out buildings, are made, then this will work just as you need it to. A few things in this book are a barn (of course), detached garage, storage building, and coops.

@@LavenderMoonSpaces I always thought one of those shuttle buses would make a pretty good conversion and now that I see your finished project, I see I was right. One thing you might want to correct for the future - those "sprockets" are actually called gas springs. Also, I think I'd need to open the window at the foot of the bed. What powers the refrigerator (I think it's annoying you can only reach fridge from on top with empty counters). How does she heat water for sink and shower? Grey water tank size and location? What is under the bed? Where are batteries and controllers for solar? Where are her TOOLS? fire extinguisherr? Heat and A/C? fan?

There are lots of comments about the toilet (or lack of). The beauty of your own conversion design is you only have to include what's important to you. I love this van & immediately saw a place for a toilet with the present design. We all have a vision or idea of what's relaxing & comfortable. I could not spend even a week without big windows but others may find storage space to be a bigger priority. This is one of the best conversion I've seen.

Nothing said about water tanks, size, how she heats water for shower, electricity, solar panels. All the practical things. So many windows that people can look in from the outside. Maybe she only stays in San Diego and doesn't need to deal with bad weather, rain, cold, snow. With less windows she'd have more options on walls for storage, pantry, shelves, and insulation. What about heat and A/C?. She must have grey water tank for shower and sink but it's not mentioned. Seems odd to leave that out if her business is designing these. And she is tiny, only 5'2". How tall is the ceiling? Could a normal person, or a tall large man fit in the shower or the bed? What is under the bed?

The space is without climate control owing to its home in the San Diego area. Bottom line for me is she did a great job and has excellent ability to transform "tiny" spaces. One could easily start spartan with just a bed and a few basics and gradually modify it to your needs as time and money allowed. If you see how people live in their cars with very little, take some of their ideas and build on them. Take advantage of friends' showers or Planet fitness or do "spit baths" as my mother used to call them. With just a rudimentary battery, inverter and solar panel, one could have basic lights, and electronics, and one of those $24 butane cooktops for cooking.

Loved this one!. She was lucky having a contractor dad who apprenticed her.. I have a Super Tiny Home at chosen times.. a converted (no construction) Honda Odyssey 2002.. and lived in it in San Diego.. a year back . Parked anywhere. I do not have a kitchen or shower.. but belong to the Y.. and can eat salads, snacks. I'll check into an AirBnB now and then, to cook.. Thanks for your good work!

Gorgeous! The ONLY thing I would change would be the cabinet handles; my son cut his lip badly on those exact same style when he was little; if you take a fall or even bump them, they're quite sharp. If I wasn't already pretty ensconced in a house and was considering mobile housing again, I'd hire her in a New York Second.

signalfire6 Yes, while the handles are a style choice and compliment the sconces and the faucet, thereby tying the look together, something less proud (and it seems, less sharp) would eek out just a bit more space while utilizing that kitchen area. But I think we can all agree that the whole look is stunning. Well done.

WOW!!! 😯 I am SO in AWE! I am SO loving this! I've gone from wanting a tiny house, to a skoolie, to a van, to a shuttle bus!!! Wow... I'm kicking 60 in the butt & my mom will be 86 soon. I'm an only child & mom worries what will become of me when she's gone. I've wanted to go tiny for some time anyway, but when it's just me, I'd like to go tiny via vehicle. You know, I think I'd like to get started before it's just me, as mom loves the idea of going tiny. I decided against a skoolie because I wanted something I could work on myself if necessary, & the engine on a shuttle is far smaller. So shuttle bus it is. My biggest requirement is handicapped-accessible & room for a cat or 2! 😊 Wow... Thanks for posting this!!!

As an elderly German solo grandma I always smile about the American solo women who use to have such big beds - I always get a solo bed - it fits perfectly and with the gained space I can do so much more .... It also can be used as a sofa/day bed - no need for more = more gained space !!!! 😝
