Story of almost all the Vietnamese co workers I had at a facotry in Santa Ana, CA. However...what was unique about them is the stigma of DIVORCE, so once married, they were mostly stuck. Even if two of them cheated...and two others tried to attempt it....sad world.

@@saranemcova5448 The best (or worst depending on how you see it) is it's not just the guilt. They know each other from a long time, probably got most of their friends in common. If she dumps her after the surgery, she probably loses them as well. Of course, at some point, it becomes socially acceptable to leave her again, but plenty of things can happen in the meantime.

it always bugged me that they identified it as the black plague by drawing black fluid from the pustule when that's not why it was called the black plague. it got its name from one of the last symptoms of the disease: multiorgan failure leading to septicemia and the associated necrosis. it's the same symptom anyone who loses tissue to frostbite has if you want to see real life examples of what that might look like

that’s where it got its name, but house was making a satirical comment. “the plague” “the… black plague??” “looks that way” he already knew, hence his decision to check for pustules. chase asked a redundant question and house was doing his usual sarcastic response. i don’t think he was inferring that the plague was named from black pus extraction in the mid 14th century

True story: my mom was an ER nurse, on an Indian reservation in AZ, and diagnosed a patient with the plague. The doc was surprised! Mom does a lot of reading and I don’t remember exactly what it was that made her think of it. Pretty cool.

I like Cameron's character a lot. She's flawed like everyone else and that's why she's so interesting. I recently rewatched the entire series and I kept thinking how admirable it was that she always stuck to her values, not letting others affect her theory about people being kind.

It was the dog her girlfriend gave her that made her sick… so technically they are even-ish… She can break up without the guilt simply based on that.

Why do so many people think that someone is running this channel (or the Office channel, or the Parks & Rec channel, or L&O, etc.) as some sort of favor/labor of love? These are the official channels of the shows - they're being run by some PA or social media scrub that's getting paid peanuts and doing this in hopes they'll eventually get to do some "real work in the industry."
