Your Granny sounds like a hoot!!! I remember one year it snowed on Derby Day here in Louisville, Kentucky which falls on the first Saturday in May. Now I have caught a Copperhead on a sticky board in my kitchen on night, it was 3am, I covered it with a cake topper lid with the heaviest books I have, had to wait until morning to get help, didn’t sleep at all the rest of the night.

I used to be the snake wrangler when I was younger. Grew up in MO, worked in the reptile lab in college. Can't wrangle anymore but I still know my snakes! Great stories! My Grandpa lost his dentures gigging for frogs!

It’s autumn here in Australia 😊😊 . All the equinox are on the 21 st. March is spring, June is midsummer, September is autumn and December 21 st is midwinter equinox. In northern hemisphere, here in Australia it’s just the opposite. The equinox are from the ancient seasonal changes. So it’s first of spring for you and here first of autumn 😊

I was skating at age 5. Up and down the sidewalk. People were so surprised to see this little girl racing back and forth.

The snake story involving the shot gun cracked me up. I knew a lady that sliced a rattlesnake in one inch pieces from its head to its tail. It was crawling across the floor of the kitchen. The butcher knife killed it but every time it twitched she whacked it again! The linoleum was never the same again!

Today the 19th is the 1st of Spring. Lester cleaned his water trough out before he drank out of his. Then he put the challenge out for everyone else.

🇦🇺I’d be worried about drinking out of the duck waterers. Goldfish eat the algae. When my kids where little we spent 2 1/2 months travelling around Australia with 4 kids under 8. I have lived in Austria, Germany and Papua New Guinea. I sent my 18 year old to family in Berlin for her birthday. She has been to Europe 5 times now and loves to go on cruises as well. My oldest daughter has been to 5 countries. It’s great to travel as it opens your eyes to how other countries live, languages, traditions etc. My 3 girls have friends from many different nationalities.

Spring start March 19, Summer starts June 20, Autumn starts September 22, and Winter starts December 21. In the Philippines the seasons are hot, hotter, hottest, and rainy. They are a day ahead and the opposite time of day. Most of our relatives live there. We lose a day getting there and gain it back coming home.

That snake story! 😂😂😂 my husband shot a water moccasin on our CONCRETE back porch in Mississippi 20 years ago! It splattered snake from ceiling to windows to floor and messed up the concrete of course! 😂 it was curled up under our bbq grill and our 2 yr old had been playing right around there while we were just hanging out on the porch!

I’m with ya there Brooke. Even here in Sacramento California I got all dressed for the spring, I had to turn around and go change my clothes. It was not shorts weather it’s 59°. It was still chilly.

I have to tell you about a friend of mine. She had to drop off a stool sample from her cat to the vet. She had it in a little brown bag. She walked into the office, the receptionist was on the phone, so my friend sat the bag on the counter and sat down. A bit later, the receptionist looked in the bag then asked my friend if she could help her. My friend said she was dropping off the sample the doctor had requested. The receptionist said, Mam, we’re a dental office; I think you want the vet next door.”

I'm in Kingsport, Tennessee and I had snow showers at 11pm last night and this am it was 24 at 6am. Burrrr. Going to be down in the low 30s early tomorrow am.. the rain later in the week. Always enjoy your videos. I'm on my second jug of Honey and it is absolutely WONDERFUL!! YUMMY!!

If you put goldfish In your pond, the ducks and geese could get an occasional snack.

I keep goldfish in my water tanks to help keep it cleaner and they help keep the mosquitoes down. I am 77 and remember my grandfather putting fish in all the pasture windmill tanks.

Don’t worry about snakes in Texas! That state is huge, go and visit all your heart desires!! I was raised there 56 years. I lived in the city and in the countryside. I can count on my hand how many snakes I encountered!

I was out doing yard work and low and behold there was a snake up against my home. Well I got my blower out and chased it into the neighbors yard then put moth ball along the fence. It was a healthy looking snake too. I keep black sticky traps in my home as have had rat problems before and so did one of my neighbors. Enjoyed watching as fun. Thanks! Missed the live.
