Seeing all these comments on how everybody was raised with this family makes me realize how much you guys have impacted people from all parts! I cried when shay handed Gavin the knife and he said thank you. I remember many many many years ago he was teaching him how to properly handle a knife and he said “always say ‘thank you’ that way the other person knows you have it” and the fact that he is almost 18 and still does this 😭😭😭😭

Boy talk about an unexpected gift that is sorely needed. I absolutely loved Brock's stop motion. That was actually REALLY good. He even found lego heads to match you. I've been here since the beginning. I remember Shay standing in the shower talking to Colette about starting a daily vlog. I remember the old houses, Gavin doing the worm and being slung out of a golf cart, Emma being on the CD cover and Shay crying about it seeing it on TV and her flying down the street in a soapbox derby race. Avia hiding under the bed after being embarrassed about liking Cesar, Malachi and his terrible farts, and Brock's "bow and arrow" ;). All the stories, music videos, and the incredible journey you guys have been on. I blinked and your family grew up. Kinda mind boggling.

Watching the younger boys fight and then Gavin literally held them both apart like some sort of super human brother, that was alarmingly impressive, that old kiddos a beast, amazing job guys.

Oh my god its been years since ive seen the Shaytards or even looked the family up and the sight of 'Lennie' (sorry if i got the name wrong) made me tear up. I cant believe Carlie finally got her little girl.

This one made me emotional. Such nostalgia. I'm reminded of how/why you guys captivated the internet. You're all so full of positive energy as individuals, and also as a family unit. It particularly made me emotional when it was mentioned that Gavin (I almost typed Sontard, I'm still reluctant to give up those names since the Shaytard Rebellionite days, but I'm trying to change) is about to be 18 and may not always be here for future family events anymore. And then of course, Avia next, and so on. I hope somehow you all continue to be in vlogs and at least update us on your lives every now and then. So many of us have grown up through our most pivotal years watching you guys.

Your family has got me through a lot over my Christmases for the past 10 or so years and each year I have a tradition of rewatching them all. While I know I am not a part of your family, the love, excitement, and magic always comes through the screen and fills me up. Thank you so much. watching this family spend time together at christmas and give and receive presents is so pure. this is the best part of my year !

I would watch these pretty much everyday. i would go really far back just to be able to “start from scratch” and the love in this family is amazing. i was sad at first because it wasn’t a big extravaganza how it usually is but i realized that doesn’t matter. you don’t have to be surrounded by bunches of people, just the ones who will always stick by your side no matter what. and that is what this season is truly about. i pray rainbows in y’all’s futures but i also pray for those hard days because those are the ones that will make you strong a build you up. Still have my tattoo that says “happiness is a choice”! I got it when I turned 18, after experiencing trials with my mother and growing up in chaos as a child. Shay, your family was my getaway when I was 16 and my mom was suffering with drug addiction. I’m now married, 28 and just gave birth to my little girl in August. You’ve shown me that there IS light at the end of the tunnel after hardship! Thank you for this video!

I get weirdly emotional watching you guys now. I felt like I was a part of your family for so long. I found you so many years ago, back before you did the daily vlogging. I was with you every single day. Your family became part of my daily life. I built watching your vlog into my daily schedule and it was like I was spending time with my family. Then I lost you guys years ago and didn't know how to feel or handle that. There were days of my life that I would spend my whole day on the computer with my favorite people, just to try and get you back. You guys were such a big part of my life and will never know the true joy you brought me. I am close to Shay and Colette's age, so I felt like they were my friends/family. Now every time I watch one of your videos, I tear up or cry. Not because I'm sad, just happy tears I guess. All the memories I have made with my people. My internet family.

bawled like a baby seeing all the kids grown now! Gosh I remember the Shaytards Christmas Special being an extra little present I look forward to watching every year. Every Christmas Eve I would stay up and go back to watch everyone of them. So glad to see you guys again.

wow...the kids are all grown up now..I remember watching your first KZread video. I remember all the music videos you guys made, all the dinners, the cooking, the valentines, the christmases; especially all the matching outfits and all the competitions you guys would do in the big gymnastics gym. You've all truly grown up, and it made me cry because you guys were my inspiration, my happiness. I ALWAYS looked forward to watching the new videos come out everyday. I truly love you guys so much.

i really love how gavin is so talkative and energetic with his siblings and the whole family its beautiful. most teenage boys just stay in their rooms all day!! love this!

Blessed my heart..I have been watching since "Babytard" was actually a baby..maybe 2 years old or so. No Brock or Daxton had arrived yet. Nice to see them all together for Christmas. Warmed me ol heart.

I started watching you guys from the time I was 11 years old and here I am 21 and I have never left since. Though I have never met you guys in person I know every single one of you including extended family. I have watched shay’s and Colette’s relationships throughout the 10 years. I have watched the kids grow up. I was 16 when I married my ex husband jan. 2016 honestly so hard to deal with the abuse psychically and mentally and would always watch you guys to make me feel like I could smile at something. I lost my baby boy a few short months later after I got married ( I was not pregnant when we got married it was after) after losing the baby I turned to god and left a year later. All while watching you guys through the divorce and losing my sweet boy I knew y’all could bring a smile on my face. I finally met a guy who I’m now married to who treats me amazing and we also have alittle boy who is 9 months old. He has achondroplasia dwarfism but let me tell you he’s the smartest little boy ❤️. Guys if you are going through a hard storm turn to god he’s got you every single way And will see you through it. Love you guys happy new year stay safe god bless💗

Holy crap was this needed in 2020! I've been here since the very beginning as many people in comments have as well, I can still remember Shay lighting fireworks underneath the window in their first house to wake everyone up and when Emmi got herself stuck in the bathroom, I've said it in a previous video but this family was there for me when my own family wasn't and I've taken their traditions and passed them onto my own marriage - I couldn't thank this family for everything they have taught me - happiness is a choice, you'll always have a big place in my heart Shay, Colette, Gavin, Avia, Emmi, Brock and Daxton

I was 12 years old when I found this channel and been watching since then, I’m now about to be 23 and moving up in my life. It’s just crazy how time has passed

This Christmas special made it so memorable. I remember watching their vlogs when they lived in their old house to the apartment and then to went they moved back to Idaho. I was maybe 9 when I first watched. I'm now 18 and graduate high-school next week. I love this family so much

Watching this really throws me back to when the kids were still little! It's a little bit trippy to see them all grown up into young adults and has brought me right back to when I was in middle school, watching your family be happy made me happy and I felt like I too was a part of your big family. Happy memories! (Only thing that hasn't changed is Colette! I swear she has not aged one bit)

I've been with u guys for about 7-8 years now this is the first vid I've watched for a while since everything happened with the family but glad ur still here and doing your Christmas special much loveeee .

Oh man, I came back from not watching regularly for years, and you guys are amazing. And I always felt so happy watching every day, literally growing up alongside you all. I’m now turning 18 and realizing that my childhood is soon coming to a close, but I wanted to also personally thank you for morphing the person I am today, I love you shaytard family 🖤🖤🖤
