A man of true Islamic education inside heart. We need these kind of teachers to save the society. May Allah give Mr Hamza Yusuf strength to stand for a long period of time. May Allah give us more scholars with pure heart who can show us the right path of Islam.

Finally a man with a courage to show us the mirror , we all have a responsibility to make our families our friends and people around us to be aware of this extremely serious issue, this disease is spreading all over the world affecting all humanity. Please take this as a wake up call and one small step against it will make a big difference and a huge addition to your accumulating deeds for the hereafter.

This speech was 2013 and 2 years after this speech, we saw in 2015 that Turkey and Ordogan are attacked and the country got hit economically its because Turkey paid off their debt. i just admire and deeply respect Dr Hamza Yousuf His knowledge is vast an is such a dedicated scholar on Islam How i wish the Arabs the self proclained custodians of the Holy places would listen to his speeches .and the rest of the muslim world as well ,and would not face such wrath from Allah for thier corrupt governance May Allah grant him good health and bestow on him his Blessing for this service to HIS Ummah.

You are a gift to Muslims and to USA sir! May Allah SWT protect you and your family in both worlds. Amen

What stood out for me was that the power and gifts that a country has should be part of the solution, not the problem.

Erdogan is no criminal, Erdogan transformed his country from a nation flooded with debt to the 7th strongest economy in Europe (and still growing). Erdogan saved Islam in Turkey, and disposed most of the sick ideologies invented by Ataturk and the west. Erdogan fought for the Palestinian cause more than any "Muslim" or Arab leader. Erdogan openly attacked Israel in the UN and in many occasions. Erdogan supported the youth revolutions in the Arab world, and honestly called for their freedom, and openly condemned aggressions practiced by Arab governments and dictatorships. He may not have everything completely right in his rule, but he is certainly one of the best Muslim rulers in these times.

***** Well I'm from Egypt, so believe me I do know a lot about King Faisal, as the oil embargo in 1973 was to put pressure on the west to stop aiding Israel in it's war with Egypt and Syria. And I know that the Ummah lost a great man when he was assassinated, and it's hard to find today any leader who can replace him. However I was comparing Erdogan with today's leaders. As almost all Muslim leaders today have failed us and our cause miserably.
