He seems like a decent and hardworking lad and he is taller than her, is kind to animals and has a nice smile what more could a girl want.

Honestly... he's out of her league. She looks like she does and yet she is still superficial. He on the other hand is very kind and genuine. When asked what she is doing: she skirts around the topic and mentions ideas for school, but doesn't actually have anything of substance. Thomas on the other hand not only has a job and another he is working on, but they are in fields where many people would say he couldn't perform the tasks in the first place thus showing his determination and strength of will. He will eventually find someone who loves him and appreciates all he has to offer while she will still be trying to chose a career and a man but can't because she keeps turning everything down or making excuses.

It's a TV show, that's her job exploiting her handicap, which isn't a handicap. I've seen people with no arms cope excellently. Have you heard of Nicholas Vujicic? He's amazing.

Shauna was like, ‘He’s [too] tall!’ My girl, lots of couples are of a similar height difference.

I noticed that too, That's because she did not want to admit that she was being superficial (like most of us)and just not finding him visually attractive, because Dan was like 6-7 in taller and she did not mention his height being a problem to her.🤦🏽‍♀️

Actually she's extremely sheltered and immature which can happen with kids that have major medical issues unintentionally being the attention getter creating that sense of self-importance. She's just got more experiences to have, live independently if possible to reclaim her self-esteem and find her strength.

I don’t think this date was a total waste. Shauna got to hear Thomas’ perspective on the short life and get some closure and Thomas got to learn what he wants and doesn’t want in a partner. Shauna needs to stop acting so darn superior to these guys. As women, yes we need to know our worth and treat ourselves with respect. But she can’t expect someone to be respectful towards her when she treats them inferior to herself.

I am a little taller than Shauna and dated a tall guy when I was 13. I never complain about him being too tall. He made me laugh and smile. I knew I had to give him a chance and I did because I knew he would was fun kind guy

Thomas seems so darn sweet and seems like such a kind human! I love that he is a volunteer firefighter ❤ I don't want to seem negative but Shauna seems to have really high standards for guys and she has gone out with some really cool people

To all the people saying she was kind and respectful, at 06:12 after the guy literally gave her examples on how he was bullied, she says "He has never really been made fun of about how he tries to get through life". As if him being more mature and resilient make it like he had it easier and never suffered as she did xD I was honestly amused she could say this. One might say she was kind, as she didn't share this opinion to his face. However, note how at 05:28 after he gives examples how he was bullied, she just asks if he missed an insult and hides a smile behind her hand. Not only this, but the context is that she makes the guy talk about traumatic things publicly and she didn't even bother to respond about herself. She is entitled, demanding and out of touch with reality!
