Somehow I cant imagine the present day top Bollywood "heros" exhibiting such vibes. They may have 12 pack abs, but that gritty raw feel is missing in their acting. Similar scenes also in Kaala Pathar with Amitabh. Somehow " a cup of tea" is a part of the on-screen rivalry : ))

VK was like a panther, so much personality.

Old movies dekh ke lagta hai ki ye movies phir se release kar de to super hit ho jayegi.

Vinod Khanna n Shatrughan Sinha, both 24 at the time of Mere Apne, set the screen on fire by their electrifying performances. Gulzar depicted Bengal's unemployed youth of late 1960s n early 1970s with so much realism. It still gives me goosebumps the way it did decades back. My most favourite in the genre.

I love the start of Bollywood movies when this line Noor e Haq sham e ilahi ko boojha Sakta hai Kaun jiska hami ho Khuda usko mita Sakta hai Kaun ❤️ by shatrughan Sinha is subhanallah

For dialogue delivery Rajkumar had no comparison. Shatrughan, Raja Murad, Ajit, Pran were also good in dialogue delivery. Enjoy the full film ie Mere Apne.

Vinod Khanna was not the "Dialogue Baazi" kind of actor, he was more of a realistic portrayal kind of actor. He used his Physique, Height & Slick Swag to impact the audience. Mind you, he was all of 6.1ft tall, yes just an inch & a half shorter than Amitabh, but didn't look that tall coz unlike Amitabh he didn't have lean physique, he had a quintessential Punjabi Munda personality
