Dilip Kumar is a fine actor. He brings so much emotion to the character. I can’t believe what I am watching. The way he says the dialogue, The way he looks at Amitabh, you see the disappointment, you see his hopes dwindling as the conversation continues. What magic is this????

There's only 1 legend. The other is a legend wannabe. That may have reached great heights of cinema climbing over the sweat and blood of others such as Prakash Mehra, Manmohan Desai and Kadar Khan. But unlike Dharmendra, Amjad Khana and Sanjeev Kumar as an actor could never grasp the art of method acting and churned out every character in the typical Amitabh style of acting. Even his winning awards was nothing but imitating the hard work of foreign actors.

@@shivamp3785 Dilip is the foundation of Bollywood from which many great actors of Bollywood have learnt and made their progressive careers. From Rajendar Kumar, Dharmendra, Manoj Kumar and down decades actors have been influenced and continue to be influenced by the method acting style of Dilip Kumar. Even Amitabh has confessed to being influenced very largely by dilip. Holding the record for most number of filmfare award despite only having enacted in just 65 movies. Hence the reason that even today his acting is taught throughout India's acting schools. His versatility was such that he played any role with ease whereas actors such as AB have struggled in many genres of acting. One just needs to access the overacting of AB in comedy scenes to differentiate between the 2. Therefore regardless of what fame and status AB achieves the history of bollywood will always be before and after DK the most influential actor of the country.

When Amitabhji was told he'll be collaborating with Late Sir Dilip Kumar, without knowing the script/story he signed up for the film, no doubt it was an platinum opportunity to work with his all time favorite actor/hero.❤

Saw movie in 1982 & just watched on u tube. I remember people comments in local train at that time as dileep has overshadowed Amitabh .it is true dileep saab role has more universal acceptance & he has justified with his acting but after 42 years ,I find Amitabh has not left any stone unturned in portraying a rebel son character.both stands equally

Aur actors ki scene cut karwa kar. Aur logon ko ladder ki tarah istamal kar ke (Mehmood, Kadar Khan, Amjad Khan). Auron ke liye toh vinod 2nd lead actor (Dharmendra) tha par Amitabh ke liye competitor. Actors ka sunna tha films ko chaurte par AB ek aisa actors tha jisse Subhash Ghai aur Feroz Khan ne filmo se nikaal penka. Yeh bada actor to ban gaya doosron ko nerve keench keench kar. Lekin haqeeqat yehi hai ke yeh na toh ek acha actor aur na hi ek achcha insan ban paya. Iiss ki har ek hit film kissi doosri film ki remake hai.

Amitabh remained a star who acted too good but he hardly looked character on screen while dilip sahab looked absolutely perfect in his wide range of movies, played complex and different shades of characters brilliantly by getting into its skin
